It is a routine
day in and day out
the same old practice
the rising, eating, and sleeping
want to break it for a day
tried to the best
could not do at any cost
have been brought up
have lived all along
impossible it is
one day, I should
sleep the whole day
eat the whole day
be awake all through
frivolous it sounds
being silly at times
lends a fun and a relax.
Gracious be the day
going by the way
with an emphatic say
making all gay
putting everyone in a bay
with the sun’s rays
falling in the stray
forcing a stay
as al would turn grey
exposed to the sun in a play
with the fervent pray
wishing in a quick lay
things that may
push out in a fray
predicting a fall in hay
with that came in a sway
a fall and a wrap in clay
that became the end of the day.
