caused a disaster

Rice everyday for lunch
had been the way in my part
that being in the southern India
where rice is the staple food till now.
rice in the form of snacks
would be on the table for breakfast
same rice boiled would be for lunch
again the snack form would be for dinner
it is rice in various forms all through
along with vegetables mostly
found in the gravy and soup mostly
seen as fries and salads
with a hot cup of coffee or tea in the morning
in between how many times many know not
could account for the diet of the South Indians
remarkable for the spicy food all through.

The birds have come out
those have been in the nest
resting all day throughout
they had been put to test
the weather not too friendly
rains in fits and starts
their outing would not be trendy
could feel the difference in their heart
the sun has slowly taken control
rains still loom in the background
the little ones have to be fed in all
have to find food within a bound
they fly not far and wide
hunt among the bushes and plants
pick up a few grubs by the side
fly back home with the available grant
they are for sure the weather experts
precise and exact than the meteorological board.

The Viral Infection

The viral infection after a wet spell
takes its cue from the pollutants
spreads in leaps and bounds
each one being affected differently
the strain is stressful and bothersome
could see on cough and cuddle in the bed

confined to a sitting posture unable to move
the vomiting and indigestion follow
