Obama assumed office of the President of U.S in January 2009.
He has been awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in October 2009.
A very quick recognition, that brings in cheers and happiness, awe and surprise ,at the same time.
He has yet to withdraw troops rom Afghanistan. He is in two minds , whether to send more troops or call them back.He is indecisive.
He has to decipher a way out to break through Iran’s Nuclear Programme. The middle east unrest is prolonging .He is striving to quell down the disturbance.Yet he has been honoured by the Nobel Committee. It appears ironical
His speech in Prague about Nuclear disarmament is inspiring . He has not achieved anything promising, but is talking everything that possibly assures promise. He has captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for the future ,goes the citation. Well , he has won the award for his eloquence not for his performance. While standing up for the ovation, he would have definitely a sense of pride, a feeling of greatness, and an amazing experience of reverberation .At the same time, if his mind gives him a tick to the notation that he is not fully qualified for this endowment ,and if he responds to it in a wink therein lies his greatness.. He is the Man. He has a bigger responsibility of living up to the clattering hope of the Oslo committee’s decision.Clattering because they have pushed him to the end with a big noise. A misstep, or a slip would let him down .
Lucky Obama, be careful.
