Rain poured in torrence,
As the thunder blasted in resonance,
Creating a pandemonium,
Dissipating a memorandum,
Of chaos and confusion,
Yet there evolved a referendum,
Leading to an exhilaration,
Of plenitude and surplus,
In the water starved nation,
Anticipating a propitious excess,
By receiving a down pour bounteous,
Filled the reservoirs copious,
Allowed a placid accumulation obvious,
Thus ensuing a grand celebration imperious.
The bad displayed by the rain
Did refurbish the terrain,
Much to the joy,
Of the lovely toy,
All are but creations
You and I,
From all generations,
Of the great Almighty!
We know not,
Where do we come from?
How did such heavy rain form?
What brings happiness?
What is in store ?
But we must learn to see ,
Good in the bad.

As I read this I thought of that phrase “too much of a good thing”…although we need water to fill our reservoirs…we sometimes get so much rain it causes mudslides…but I understand your point.
Indian subcontinent faces drought periodically ,so a torrential rain, apart from creating an havoc for a short time, is deemed to be essential, to keep away water paucity.
