It is the mundane

that of materialism

induces a disdain

the money in its realism

being one of paper  mere

holds no resign.

 

The folk around

obsessed with the materialism

create a surround

where money is the be and end all

which being a paper mere

holds no ground.

 

That which I see

lead me to the world of materialism

makes me to flee

is it not money a part of life?

that being a paper mere

focuses not identically.

 

Being said of the worldly pleasures

where there be a majority  materialistic

drives me with a pressure

not that money circumcises the absolute

that being a paper mere

Gibber jabber goes the talk

what could be in stock?

a chatter incessant all the more

money and jewellery  being the core

worth so much in a way

“I bought a property in a metropolis” says the other

a prized one in an accomplish  rather

the conversations go on for hours together

while the other one adds  with a fervor

“I made a wholesome profit in business”

a reward to my  hard work in a sense

an admirable,  enterprising group I see

I wish to make haste and flee

have to sit amidst them looking on

what not and what else passes on?

as I have nothing to boast of in turn

money, property, jewellery  even for fun

own no business except my writing skill

I am  plain  and prosaic without any frills

Holidays Are over.


The holidays are over

a week long or so

having been in  a hover

have to move in a go

relinquishing the ease of vacation

settling to the work again

another year starts with a  situation

being of  a great  regain

a resolution to be straight and direct

being firm and unselfish

let them hang about with their stealthy tricks

A tinge of jealousy

it is envy found enormously

He breathes with a sigh

could be a cause of  inability

he smells an odour high

the stuff of developed  animosity.

 

Why be it so? I wonder

being a man of high net worth

poses as if he lives in splendor

why this unnecessary feel of dearth?

 

Not able to explain his attitude

I being a target of his jaundiced eye

keep away from his latitude

vowed to talk nothing of him
