entry Nine Gates Poetry

The Nine Gates In Line

A mother’s womb is so warm

as the baby glides slowly it cries shrill

as if it is out in a storm

when laid on the mother’s bosom

it sleeps quiet and calm.

The child sucks the breast hard

finds no milk at once

there hangs the umbilical cord

stained in damp red blood

illustrates the birth bold.

The phenomenon of growth

from childhood to adulthood

arranged with learning in all likelihood

as the child attains manhood

with intentions all good.

Love and hate cross intermittent

there is a conflict well displayed

with the abhorrence gaining a determinant

love in a scope is not prominent

the clash of egos become imminent.

The contradictions are magnified much

the feuds take the magical wand

they easily dislocate the fastened bond

the I in me and the I in you are around

the battle is fought, one losing the ground.

A slight adjustment here

a light alteration there

could bring in wonders with a shine

the resultant be an endearment fine

that would open all the nine gates in line.

The Womb

The womb they say
carries the child in a way
nurtures the baby all through the days
lets out a full-grown child in play
a lovely child in the fray
looks pretty and fresh all gay
as happiness spreads in full form
lightens the faces with great charm
the parents beam with pride in calm
the cries of congratulations echo in norms
that be the delight of begetting a new-born
the part the womb plays is of great chance.womb

Born Out Of The Same Womb

Know a brother

who with all his defects

not very simple

but very complicated

has only some inherited money

not other qualities

worth mentioning

does a lot of back biting

and spreading rumours

with intentions bad

against his brother

who keeps away from him

not crosses him at any cost

aware of his brother’s shortcomings

The older one  keeps on

doing these from childhood

while the younger  sibling

puts up with him

for the very reason

he being  the brother.

What a remarkable difference !womb

we find in the siblings

born out of the same womb.
