Appalling Spectacle

It is the temperature that causes illness.
Dehydration sets in.
The body burns.
Sweat and perspire a lot.
Mucus collects in the lungs.

Eventually, infects the larynx.
A cough follows.
Laryngitis leads to a loss of voice.
Temporary, though. Fever rises.

Excess of heat is pernicious.
The immunity turns weak.
One is at wit’s end.

Alluvial soil becomes dry.
I perceive arid land in a stretch.

It is an appalling spectacle.
