Meaningful

I tried to solve
geometrical problems
based on Pythagoras
theorem.

I did them with ease
no struggle whatsoever,
“amazing”, I tell myself
a pat on my back,

decades since I refreshed
geometry, they still remain.
” my memory is strong”,
I say with a smile.

Encouraged, I wish to tackle
many more sums, I recover
my old books and work
on them with diligence.

One, two, three, I go
squares, rhombus, equilateral
triangles in a circle
I resolve in no time.

It turns interesting,
I go on doing them
an exercise which
drives the monotony.
