It was a cease-fire
the consequences were dire
dead bodies lay in the pyre
they were set on afire
yet the animosity lingered
the ego had to be tinkered
peace had to be enforced
the anger had not to be aroused.
painful it was to work on a treaty
there was many an ambiguity
the treatise was signed reluctantly
and the fight came to a halt temporarily.
