A vendor old
walks around bold
sells bananas different
being ras thali
, poovan,
malaipalam and sevvalai
shouts at the top of his voice
manages to walk with an unknown joy
the load on his head loathsome
has a few customers on wholesome
sells the fruits for a meagre gain
makes his living without much pain
wishes not to trouble his children at all
he would pass unnoticed in all
none would highlight his plight
nor bring to notice his sincerity
or talk about his intention to work
cause he is a poor man at work
