Tomato is so red
looks like blood
I love the colour
never in a pallor
the redness dazzles
the tomato baffles
used in all almost
could find them in the toast
scattered in the salad
sung in the ballad
found in the gravy
heals the scurvy
a skin toner in a way
keeps blemish at bay
tastes so nice
mixed with rice
a liveliness in
till it goes to the bin
a lovely vegetable
proud to have it in the table
never too expensive
affordable and defensive
an agent of immunity
consumed by the primitive
continues its utility
great and curative.
