The way one lives

the say one has

the play one does

the culture one displays

distinguish him one from other

a line subtle differentiates

going through life

we see the ups and downs

ups make us happy

the downs suppress us

we cry and struggle

yet we come out of it

some do it shabbily

a method not appropriate

entering into a controversy

indulge in fights

and wordy duels

others face it grimly

stoic they are

get through the rough patch

patiently they endure

slowly they emerge out

A lot of adjustments

they are distinct in their moves

make them distinguished

honourable as in all

revered by all

qualified for the distinction

strong and sustainable.

That being a strange land

where there are many bands

with people of varied culture

having distinctive features

speak not one but seven hundred tongue

they be the languages in a flung

customs almost same in respects

perceptions differ in aspects

unity is seldom found

the island reverberates with the sound

a fight here and quarrel there

marks with an evil stare

dislodge the one from his post

push him to the end of the coast

has been the way of the islanders

as such no progress is seen in a stretch

a reprimand and discipline could wrench

the people from their quench

being a thirst of greed and deceit.

with an easy order
overtaking the glamour
that get with it in a clamour
shadowing the contingencies
with diluted discrepancies

in a prescribed impetuosity
Culture is a reflex image
that brings out a damage
if not taken care of entirely
with an assigned formality
igniting the differences
with feigned references
would lead to a revolt
with an unforeseen assault.
Culture of a society
dwells in its capacity
to work together
and to gather
strength and unity
with a curiosity
ushering a flourish
with a lively cherish.
