The Dull

The dull weather around

little sun and little warmth

very sultry at times

humid all through

calls for a walk around

Walk to the aisle

stand there for a moment

look across the garden

that seems duller still

leaves droop and grass dry.

Return to the patio

sit there with a book

peruse the pages

they appear dullest of all

push the book away .

Lie down on the bed

eyes stuck to the roof

a picture traverses the mind

very prosaic and uninteresting

slumber escapes in a way.

The dull I say

abounds and overwhelms

sadness descends slowly

know not why it happens?

an uneasiness prevails all day.

The e- book.

Books in paper bound together

becoming an edition in paper back

as well as in hard bound track

the latter expensive than the other.

Now comes the  e-book editions

read with  different applications

very easy to go through in  versions

a lively innovation and trendy invention.

The change is for better or not else befitting

as the concept of library goes  away

where stocks of books being preserved in a way

find themselves compressed in an electronic outfit .

The earth is becoming smaller and smaller

not only in distance and outlook

but also in size and Odes in eightThere Am iIon look

with the inventions getting ahead taller.

The globalisation is getting through.

The global warming is setting across.

The global learning is sailing across.

The global attitude is heading through.

Is it a change for the good

Might be it links people with a twins

making possible meetings with a shine

with that t the writings say great and good.

The Mother’s Way.

Reluctant to go to school
the child lay cool.
Time was running out
but he was firm in and out.
Hearing the honking of the school bus
his mother got up in a mess
finding him still on bed
clearing her throat she said.
Are You not going to school?
The boy turned on his bed cool.
Leaving him to himself
the mother reached the shelf
took a book to read
forgetting all other breed.
The son got up and walked in tip toe
finding not even a toast on board
He came to his mother slowly
Have you not prepared the breakfast?
The mother went throughlittle boythe pages fast
The boy went back to his room
and sat there all day in gloom.

Hunger For Knowledge.

With a book in one hand
and the eyes browsing through it
she was taking her food
without any interest
as the book kept her engaged.

Turning the pages with one hand
while the other hand was on food
nothing went to the mouth
while the eyes devoured every line with amour
the food remained in the plate untouched.

Paying no attention to meals
and always reading through
she neglected her health
making her look like a scare crow
skinny and thin bony and gaunt.

The hunger for knowledge
being predominant all through
she could not be without a book for a minute
nor could she restrain from writing for a second
Perhaps it is a mania that is for the good.

The involvement in reading
left her away from gossip
keeping her ears shut to the talks
she enriched herself all through
with figures and facts.

Do not mistake that she remained a book worm
she put her research to good use
imparting the objectives she had learnt
with ardent fervour to those of whom seeking help
and aiding them with learning toobook_lover_gal_2_leader_poster-ra1f239723d074d4084a65a2f5c0f7434_2982a_8byvr_512ls to impress a progress.
