Fun and a Teach

I opened my sit out in the evening
saw a squirrel playing
with two sparrows.
Not a common sight.

They went up the stairs
one by one
descended the same way.

It was like a parade.
The squirrel led the trio

Beautiful it was
to look at them
perform so neatly.

I kept the door ajar
watched them
with admiration.

They marched into the garden
queued near the tap
the squirrel turned the tap
halfway, water started to flow
they played in the water
later quenched their thirst.

The squirrel tried to close the tap,
left it half done. The water flow
diminished. He could do no more.

It was fun to watch them.
Greater still, it was a teach
on organising.

Harsh Summer.

Hot , hotter and hottest

obsessed I with heat

day by day the heat increases

never does it go down

perspiration, sweat and fatigue

overcomes with a force

thirst, thirst unquenchable thirst

overwhelms in all

unable to appease it

with litres of water and juices

not able to venture out

unable to  sit locked in the house

unbearable it becomes all the more

questionable to the sustenance?

how am I to endure the rest of summer

so hot and so cruel being against all norms.

The Prayer Of All

The prayer in earnest

could bring in cheer

would lead to no fear

lend a heart strongest.

The prayer with a thirst

could be for a desire

would bring in a pressure

earn a not so propitious  burst.

The prayer with a thought

be an outcome of an inclination

would usher in a deviation

give a strange proposition as sought.

The prayers do change things

whether they be in earnest

or out of thought or thirst prayer.jpg

shed not a glamour in all

render a requisition  in call.

A Quixotic Critique

Seen so many places in a short while

each one not different in style

the wish to see more lingers

we go to lands with an eager

with a hope to find more  and more

way of attractions and culture.

Lo!end up with nothing great

the perceptions are at any rate

the most similar in outlook

except for a few nooks

be that of the colour of the race

the languages spoken in a trace

the activities resemble one another

either it is in this pole or the other

the transformation is not so marked

the distinction never reaches the target

yet, I could not quell my thirst

as I undertake tours in jest

finally end up with a fatigue

that is me a quixotic critique

The Call Of Home

The call from home

rings frequent

a great trend it is

away for long  from home

a sequence  not usual

the warmth of its interior

strikes  through  in a cosy

the magnificent exterior

extends a loving embrace

found  missing in this sojourn

where the wish to see places

takes a fair part of the time

the most  important be

the time with own kin

reaches the saturation

that  in a fit of the moment

the strong firm whisper

knocks the ear in turns

holds the breath in a clasp

while the mind turns in a  thirst

to get back home in first.
