Night Queen -A Cinderella

The fragrance floods
fills with an aroma
pleasant and bold.

It emanates from a kind of jasmine
blooming in the garden
called as Night Queen.

The flower is tender and soft
comes to life in the night.
Its odour keeps one aloft.

Inhaling its odour
I watch the bushes
planted in an order,

The flower is like Cinderella at the Ball
wilting in the midnight,
becomes plain as the dawn calls.

Little miracles are overlooked
Night queen being a simple cactus plant,
its mysticism keeps us intrigued.
