The night comes out
dark and cool
the stars twinkle in the sky
with the half moon shining
the lights in the houses are switched on
the street lights add to the charm.
Seeing from the house atop a hill
a beautiful scenario unwinds.
Down the lane, across the road
here are lights flickering.
Could see the cars coming up the hill
straining and struggling. Few of them go downhill
with an ease. Lovely to watch.
The thoughts of the night make me not to sleep
as I sit on my couch and perceive through.
A breathtaking sight I espy. Am fortunate to view them.
To me, they are a treasure. It is the way I feel.
To you, it might be different, being another ordinary one.
