Grass will grow.

Economy is the pet subject.

It kindles both awe and inspiration.

David callaway’s write up in Market watch ” Rushing to see the apocalypse”  excels in lucid description

His distinctive style is found in his presentation ,which is a beautiful mix up of economy and imagery.

The engulfing flame of the  Angel island looks like the portfolio of a buddy scorched by the inferno raging globally.

It is a beautiful illustration and  a rich comparison.

Fire is a great destroyer.

It chars its hold to ashes.

Investors money have been eroded to embers.

He  jots down another striking phenomenon, by catching a glimpse of the passers by,

These  workers nodded and laughed knowingly, unmindful of the burning fire, and headed to the boat.

It seemed something natural, something common, something that needs little attention, something that will find a regular close, something that cannot be prevented, something that is unavoidable.

Economy is one such thing , that will settle perfectly , if left alone.

The ups and downs in the indices’s, job displacement, wage losses.industrial disaster are all part of the game.

History is the best teacher.

It tells us of recession, of booms, of falls , of glory,,of wars ,of peace, of fights, of reunion, of turbulence, and of prosperity.

Life is punctuated by prosperity and penury.

Business is alternated by  success and failures.

Oil , which was as high as 150$, is now at he level of 75$.

Did anyone imagine?

Stock market highs were a mere speculation.

Stock markets low are but a nostalgic fact.

Callaway concludes with a note of hope.

While returning home ,before sunset, he saw the charred remains of the Angel Island.,and wondered how many years it would take the island to resurrect. and regain its charm.

The next days paper was an eye opener, The experts had said that grass will grow during winter when rain comes-and look normal during spring.

I am  reminded of the famous line

“when winter comes can summer be far behind?”

I recollect Newton’s law of motion.

“For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

Governance.

The art of Governance is an explanation of propriety and reformation.

Propriety is ownership.

Propriety  can be distinguished as Public and Private.

Public includes ,state  in general and its sub categories -in particular.

Private indicates exclusive ownership of a person or a body.

Public governance invites excellent personals,  extreme discernible, prowess, empowered grip, enormous capacity, enviable virtue and endless patience.

 Unfortunately,modern world,epitomizes poor governance.

Taking Indian governance , as a case study,

We discover many deformities. irregularities. and wistful misdeeds

Bad roads, power cuts, hike in fuel prices,  abnormal rise in  prices of essential goods.community clashes.

political mis demeanour, imperious audacity of the ruling party, snobbish reaction of the bureaucrats.are a few decrying assimilation of Indian Governance.

Free Televisions are distributed in Taminadu, which goes without power for most hours.

One kg of rice for one rupee, sold in ration shops, most of it reaches the wrong targets.

Communal clashes in Orissa, involving of burning houses, and raping. a nun.

Bomb blasts in all directions, south , north, east and west,at regular intervals. It is marked by loss of valauable lives.

In India,

Merit does not find a place

Quality cannot be tracked .

Integrity cannot be deciphered.

State is not the focus.

Instead

Fallacy occupies the prime spot.

Inferiority draws to the fore.

Treachery forces into limelight.

Family of political leaders rushes to the stage.

Indian  democracy  can be defined thus,.

It is by the family, for the family  to the family  (family of Political leaders-implied)

Family usurps the Nation.

Family is enriched.

It wallows in wealth.

Nation is tarnished.

It wriggles in debt.

There is little or no governance in the largest democracy.

Many democracies have taken India as their role model, in recent times.

U.S is penalised for bad governance,

The economy is blood stained.

U.K is steadily falling into the ambush.

It is facing a near recession.

It is facile to acquire tainted curriculum.

It is hard to imbibe  incandescent, pure, syllabus

Impulsive Instinct.

Go by your conscience.

The dictates of instincts are mostly reliable.

Apprehensions ,deliberations, resist us in taking decision. Impulse moves us to the verge with such acceleration, that before we could realise ,the finale is accomplished.

Caution, urges us to weigh , to think,to consider, and then react.

Most opportunities are lost ,by  these relentless considerations.

The command of the instinct is a possible product of the subconscious mind.

The mind is most active.

It works on the projects, promises, and profits, before letting out the impulses.

It comes out with the best possible answer to our dangling queries.

Impulsive instinct automates itself during  most critical situation and urgent diversions.

They become handy to air pilots, in times of unforeseen  danger.

Lesser mortals like birds, animals are governed by  this power.

They send signals of the approaching danger, react unusually in times of storm ,rain, and fire, able to recognise the most tragic events -death, destruction.

They  feel the premonition, early ,well ahead of Man.

We miss the phenomenon,as we tire the mind with probings of what?, when? why? How.

This uncalled exhaustion and  unwanted restrictions distance us from the natural recourse.

A deadly aberration, A lively correction

Does the caption sound odd?

I can see many an eye lifted,  find a twinge in the lips , and a frown in the forehead of the readers.

It makes you wonder, what it is all about?

Two diametric, diagonal, phrases seamlessly conjoined.

A couple of days back , I read the tragic shoot out , by Karthick Rajaraman.

The stock jeopardy, had inflicted financial constraint in this man , of exemplery educational background.

He extended his paternal care ,by ending the life of three promising youngsters, his sons.

The eldest was a Full Bright Scholar, the othr two were very young, just 11 and 9 years, very erudite and diligent students.

His wife was also a butt of his vexation,

His aged mother-in-law also, succumbed to Karthick’s agitated move.

Karthick , has over stepped his limitation.

I was absolutely appalled by this incident, which kept on nagging me for days together.

A day back, I chanced to read  a harrowing experience of an illiterate woman,Lakshmi

She is uneducated, abandoned by her husband,.

After initial years of infatuation , the man treated her brutally.,

On one such occassion ,she lost her unborn child.

She  became a domestic helper..

Years rolled on.

One fine morning, a police  inspector informed her that her husband is in police custody ,for murdering his second wife.

This poor damsel, rushed to the prison , and was shocked to see him in dishevelled condition.

Life sentence was imminent for such a gruesome act.

His infant daughter was about to be adopted by the orphanage.,

To every body’s surprise, she took charge of the child..

The formalities were completed., after her husband signed the proposal form.

She returned home with the child. sending sensational signals to her patrons.

Her next move ,was  even more surprising than her adoption.

She admitted the child in a play school.

She firmly resolved to supplement the girl  education and nourishment by working extra hours.

I contemplate,

An affluent educated man’s attitude is  an echo of thorough cowardice.

A poor illiterate woman’s  outlook is   resonant of fine stoicism.

He has killed his own children.

She is bringing up her foster daughter.

He had his kith and kin., to fall upon.

She  has none to support.

These  are transcription of real life.

One is fear and iresoluteness

The other is grit and  determination.

Laksmi seems to say,

Come ,what may, I will prolong. She is akin to “The River”

“Men may come, Men may go.

But I go on forever.”

My  gnawing mind settles down to an unbelievable ease.

Pietical Calamity.

Chamunda devi temple near Jodhpur in Rajasthan(India) saw a tragic mishap  on 30/sep/2008.

Stampedes during festivals are becoming common in India.

Hinduism is a faith. It is a liberal belief.

It is all pervading, very excellently formulated ,accumulative

The Vedas and scriptures propound the etiquette and methods to live a wholesome life.

They are mere prompters, not  extracting strictures.

The choice is left  to  the individual.

Pomp and splendour  are  alien to Hinduism.

Humble prayers and modest behaviour are sufficient to please God.

Crowding a small temple ,in a hillock ,is risky.

Unmindful of the facilities ,9000 .gathered and brought the tragedy in its full form.

Meera was an ardent lover of Lord Krishna.

She had an idol of krishna always with her.

Her Bhajans ,and songs were drowsed with devotion

Unable to resist her call,Lord krishna appeared before her .

.The story rends ,thus ,she went to Heaven with  the Lord

People may question the relativity?

It may sound like a fairy tale.

A pointer ,we derive from Meera’s bhakti is most pertinent to today’s  piety.

Hers was Sathviga bhakthi -calm devotion ,

Now we trace asura  bhakthi -strong devotion.

Meera found her salvation not through pilgrimage, but through profound faith.

This should be taken note off.

Natural catastrophes, like floods, storm ,fire.earth- quakes, are out of our hands.

Man made tragedies could be well avoided .

Pilgrimage is a way to find God.

The time ,the place, the number are vital.

A little attention to these details can  avert deaths.

Every day is auspicious.

Settling for best days, good time, significant signals, are the later additions  into the most comprehensive

faith _Hinduism.

Let us not lose the effervescence of divinity by adopting unidentified codes.

Let us not dilute the exuberance of beatitude by succumbing to unrecognised modes.

Let us not  pollute sanctity with tragedy.

Let.us not convert slokas into shrieks.

Let us not transform temples into pyres.

Let us vow to  preserve the purity, grace and glory of the temples.

Fair and Foul plays the wind.

Look into Shakespeare’s works.

They abound in wisdom.

They are enriched by the fantasy of the language.

They are packed with pithy sayings.

We can draw references.

We can conclude on inferences.

This particular statement from  Macbeth keeps on clicking in my mind.

What a cryptic analysis.!

What an admirable alignment.!

It is rich in content.

It is spelt by the witches,

It is an announcement of the good things followed by the bad ones.

Macbeth’s rise and fall  is foretold.

The wind is pleasant,at one stage.

It  can turn violent later.

Treading the right path will lead to delights.

Crossing the  wrong direction will drag to disaster.

Macbeth was in comfort  till he was righteous.

Macbeth tumbled into doom, when he altered his track.

The tragic outcome is pronounced by the witches in the denouement.

The depiction of  Macbeth’s fall is poignant.

Th atmosphere of pain and grief is set in the opening scene.

Shakespeare builds the tempo meticulously.

Sobriety and concoction of  evil deeds go hand in hand.

Sanguinity and blood shed  are inseparable

Murder and death are  amalgamated.

Vile and con jury are co opted together.

We see the genius at work.

Fine narration, methodical calculations, flowery style, and subtle plotting give a sublime tone to Macbeth.

The mastecraftsman is at his best in Macbeth.

All the world is a stage.

Farrell  is at his best, while commenting on Reaganomics Revolution 1981-.2011.

Gramm  is a protagonist.

Apart from the economic disaster, which Farrell points out, I was impressed by his presentation .

He starts with grandeur quoting “All the world is a stage, and all the men and women are players”

He continues ,his write up, by fixing the final act of Reagan Revolution glory days in grand Shakespearean style.

The year is 2011..-he predicts.

He tracks the comedies of the playwright, for analogies but settles in for Hamlet.

Romeo and Juliet  creeps in slowly, but Juliet is transformed into Ethel.

The Reagonomics drama is heading towards a tragi comedy.

Gramm singlehandedly wrecks the crew.

The curtains will be  brougt down.

The finale in 2011 will be a great epic tragedy.

Farrell excels in scripting this story.

True ,

Literature is a treasure house.

You can draw as much you want from it.

Scientists can invent .

Historians can recreate.

Geologists can discover.

Business magnates can create wealth.

Emperors can rule the country.

Politicians can make or mar the nation.

Literature alone can nurture love.

Literature alone can breed culture.

Literature  alone can atone refinement.

You find science, astronomy , banking, economics, history, what not and what else in literature.

You can draw references.

You can find solace.

You can find company.

You can get advice.

You can  also see and experience the inexperienced.

Market Mantra

oil rises

Dollar falls.

Oil down.

Dollar up.

This is the mantra chanted by analysts every day for the past six months.

Mantras  chanted with fervour spel miracles.

A magical  wand   is essential to restore economy.

Dollar’s frequent fall is not a healthy sign.

It has been overexposed and over spent.

An alternate currency should become the titular head.
