May Their Tribe Increase-A Dream

Out there you see a snob,

With a close cut bob,

Masquerading before a mob,

Ensuing a provocative throb.

Out there you find a cheek,

With a prying beak,

Manipulating over a freak,

Anchoring over a leak.

Out there you espy a wicked,

With a  hairy thicket,

Lobbying for a ticket,

Beneath a  picket.

Out there you notice a  treacherous,,

With a  gait hideous,

Unfolding a crime nefarious.

Beside a pit ravenous.

Out there you  meet the stupid,

With a pulse tepid,

Bearing a grin placid,

Below a spring rapid.

Out there you  greet a  bribe

With a nostalgic vibe,

Devolving  a sensational  prescribe

Nurturing a  false  jibe.

Come , let we sing to appease,

Come, let we act to please,

Come , let we  call  with ease,

May their tribe increase.

Nanda’s Convocation

It  is serene and sober,

Quiet and proper,

Graduates so sombre,

Spectators all eager,

To witness the  graduation.

The chancellor  leads

The Vice chancellor  treads,

The Professors follow.

The retinue    gets on  stage.

To conduct the schedule.

Long speeches in a row,,

Crushingly slow,

Applauses  all  around ,

As the chancellor  rises ,

To confer the prizes.

The scholars line up,

Awaiting the sign up,

As the names are called

They climb  up  ,

To receive the gold.

Watching with  great awe,

Likening it to  what we saw,

As it is  a kindergarten   graduation,

Organised  with concentration,

A    terrific grand show

The coveted  honour ,

Goes to Nanda,

Who  with  a pointy hood ,

And in a five piece suit,

Walks up

To receive the honour.

A lovely convocation,

So original and typical,

So beautiful and radical,

To see the  tiny tots .,

Graduate   from  Kindergarten

Global Collections

A curious information kept  me tongue-tied  for many days.

I wish to share it among the few readers ,I have.

It is a bit of a suspense.

It is a bit of a worry.

It is a bit of  a ridicule.

It is a bit of a folly.

It is more so a catastrophe.

By now ,friends, you would have got the cue.

By now ,friends you would have guessed the exact.

By now ,friends you would have accepted the fact

Well, enough of keeping you in tenter hooks.

It is nothing ,other than going global..

I hear you sound “phew”

Yes it is very much the same global endorsement.

Going global, friends ,we lost financially.

Going global, friends ,we lost the climate

Going global, friends, we lost the rains. .

Going global, we lost the individuality.

Going global, we lost the uniqueness.

Going global ,we lost the prosperity.

Going global,we lost the fun.

Going global we lost the spirit.

Going  global, we lost everything.

Well the recession, the warming, the disaster, the despondency, the lost faith,  the greed are the prized collections  of adopting global formula.

Treasures are for life.

This generation has committed a suicidal design.

It has to somehow live with it.

Charity-As I Understand

Charity begins at home.

Charity is for a good cause.

It itself is a noble ideal.

The symposium goes on ,talking about the  great quality.

The  beauty of charity diffuses when it is advertised.

The core effect sinks into oblivion ,when this idealism becomes a wayside affair.

Well, that is what is experienced in the present days.

I have seen people marking their names  in most items they donate.

Their names are found in the tube lights, in the fans, in what not and what else.

It looks so cheap and mean.

If a large amount is extended to an institution , then they call for a meeting, invite top politicians, arrange a big party.

The participants talk high of the donor.

This is virtually a bizarre.

Certain  other charities  of high calibre, say a foundation, a trust, make much ado .

Their efforts are publicised via TV.

Their names  are the titular caption of their charity.

Thus goes on the spread of their movement to help others.

These foundations run colleges, universities, hospitals .

They indulge in hosting many meets .

They sponsor numerous concerts.

They initiate several shows in TV.

The revenue thus generated is sent to  the needy .

Well, how many of them do this for the real uplift of the poor?

Count on them.

You will find a very few, who do it for  the sake of it.

Most do it for publicity and fame.

Most are forced to do charity, because the donations invite tax rebates.

Most are compelled to extend lands and build colleges and schools, for fear of their excess land being acquired by the government.

It is a way out for them to keep their property in safe custody.

Yet they propose to be charitable.

Most of the donors ,who look big and huge ,both in size and grandeur, have done much harm  in the background.

It is a ploy.

It is akin to the saying “rob Peter to pay Paul”

It is a procedure of pushing one out to get into the top.

As a mark of assuaging  the bruise, tender donations and aid to the needy

Charity, as I understand is a thing that should not be made known to any one  at any cost.

The donor and the receiver should  alone be aware of it.

How may small moves , which may look  nothing in terms of finance, but which  are time bound and need raising have gone unnoticed?

How many of us know about the pedestrian, who helped a blind man cross the road?

How many of us notice a teacher coaching students for no remuneration?

How many of us talk about doctors who cured patients for nothing?

How many of us think about a lady ,who adopted orphans to her family, even though she was surviving with great difficulty?

They did not form trusts.

They dis not create foundations.

They did not deliberate as to how to deploy their excess revenue.

They did spontaneously.

They did on will.

They do not have resources in the form of currency or property, but have a vast treasure ,that of kindness, more so mercy.

This is real Charity.

A Day Out

A day out of my house has become an eventful experience for me.

Decking up in a the best attire,I made my way first to a wedding.

The muhurat was almost over.

I met a few of my friends and relatives, and went to the dining hall to have my lunch.

The menu was simple and excellent .I had a swift partake.

Then bade farewell to the host and left to  enquire the birth of a child in another relative’s house.

There was an array of sweets and chocolates and a juice was extended.

I engaged myself in a pleasant talk.Leaving my relative’s house, I peeped into another elderly relative’s house.

The elderly couple were relaxing ,while I entered.

I expressed my concern over their health, as the aged relative had a bout of sudden illness in the form of gastritis.

They wer happy to see me.

They offered me tea and snacks.

Then,as I was about to get into my car, met a friend of my mother in-law.

She ,at 75 was proceeding to one of her friend who was ailing.

She called me into her house.

She ,being a good conversationalist, talked in detail about the events in my native town.

The interesting presentation detained me in her house for nearly an hour and half.

Finally ,came home at dusk, dead tired and exhausted.

Had a shower and after dinner ,got to sleep.

The day was fully loaded.

The refreshing trend of seeing people and attending weddings made me deliberate for a while.

At times I become philosophical.

I ,while recollecting the chain of events, was able to choreograph the life in all its grandeur and serenity.

Eateries Down My Road

My neighbourhood was a calm ,area some fifteen years back.

I was one of the first to settle in this suburb.

But mow it is a s crowded as a road in the centre o the town, with shops , banks, departmental stores ,apartments.

We were only three in our road  during the eighties.

Now we are three thousands.

As the suburb lost its serenity and solitude, it assumed a look of a mini town.

The first visible change ,I deciphered was the eateries which came up one by one.

A little away from my home, there is  a chef who prepares soup, both vegetable and mutton.

Soups  are starters in a posh hotels.

The wayside  also extends  food in par with high-end restaurants.

A few yards from my house, there came up a mobile eatery .

It specialised in medicinal pancakes (puri).

The puris are made by grinding soaked raw rice along with spinach .The various spinach used are thuthuvalai, mullu murungai, tulasi. The ground batter is made into small circles which are  fried in oil. This puri is good for cough and cold.It clears the congestion .

AT the next stop , some hundred yards  away, we can find a mobile van with stoves, providing vegetable rice, raithas, chicken sixty .

Down the road ,we can also find petty vendors selling  steaming idlis,  hot parthas, sizzling dosas, all prepared on the spot They are piping hot and  tasty.

So ,a stroll down the road will  appease the hunger, while extending a delicious menu both homely and cost savy.

The experience is one of thrill  .

Society,Socialism, Socialising.

The society is a group or community that behests attention, that requires cooperation ,that inducts  comprehension, that allots communication.

The society is a collective expression of individual thoughts and gathered exposition of each one’s spirit.

The motivation that drills the mind is that of oneness and  a wholesome  presentation.

Socialism,is a beautiful concept that is misunderstood, that is most misrepresented, and that which is most practised in a deliberate digression.

It aims at distribution through individual  production efforts.

Communism  the extreme form has found a popular support.

The significant assumption of  communism is  not constrained by economics but keeps under its sway politics also.

Its aim is statelessness and classlessness.

Capitalism  is an economic system  which  professes  private ownership.

Socialism ,thus is a harmonious combination of capitalism and communism.

Socialising is an interaction. It has its limitation .

An excess of it leads to trouble.

Too much socialising results in a clash of egos , of morals, of beliefs and of distinctive styles.

The unique style of an individual gets diffused

He may turn out to be a go getter.

He may work on social events with understanding.

But his  presentation becomes common.

He is  one among many.

The society that brings about socialism and causes socialising should have a limited scope in an individuals preference.

A Man should rely on himself, while adjusting in a society.

A Man should follow the ideologies of socialism without hampering his self.

A man should indulge in socialising by keeping him above any remarkable manifestations.

Society above self, strikes the chord.

Mind you ,society should never outbreak self.

The nation And The Leader.

Imagine a body without a head.

How will it look?

It would look awkward, gruesome, and frightening.

So a nation without a leader, would look awkward ,in the sense , it has no direction.

The exhaustion evolves a nothingness ,which signifies a deliberate drag.

The terrifying part emanates from  indiscipline.

The man, who assumes importance ,should be careful, considerate and correct.

The three c’s go to establish leadership.

A slight destabilization of status corrodes the framework.

A little harshness sets a combustion ,that wrenches progress.

A small outward creates a deficit that is hard to be replenished.

Yet Leaders of Nations ,do not orient themselves in caution and harmonious perfection.

Thus the Land ,which they rule ,is a place that seeks firm security, but   is unluckily deprived of it.

Mind In Itself

Mind is the great go getter.

Any achievement is possible with a  mind in its place.

A slight distraction spoils the sport.

A little deviation destroys the focus.

A total withdrawal reverses the trend.

So , a resolute mind is the essence of any success.

A   disproportionate  approach  is the cause for failure.

As matter stands so, the nourishment of the mind goes a long way in  recording triumph and revealing victory.

A serious bent of mind is termed as sober ,reserved introverts.

A light easy go inclination is dubbed as jolly , light headed ,happy persons.

The introvert is mostly misunderstood.

The serious man , goes about his work ,uninterrupted by pranks and truancy of the rest of the clan.

His goal is work, and his query is how to accomplish the task meritorious?

So with unflinching courage and undaunted spirit he fulfills his task.

He ends up as a top performer.

The case of the easy go lucky differs  from the sullen  programme .

He takes things as it comes.

He works with less concentration.

His assignments do not claim credit.

His faculty is not sharpened by wit.

He does a slipshod performance ,that lacks merit and admiration.

A dull mind creates a different assumption.

There is nothing practical, nothing admissible, nothing appreciable .

The presentation lacks character.

It is a drab.

A gloomy mindset staggers a confused  diagram.

It is one of maze, one of turmoil, one of shoddy sketch.

The creativity gets discoloured and there is excess sorrow and enormous struggle.

The mind in itself can make a heaven of hell and hell of heaven, leading to glory or disaster , as the things reckon.

Media Goes Wayward

Media has umpteen issues to look into, to analyse and publish, I presume and assume

Media also goes astray at times. It is no strange exception

Banks and Financial institutions flounder, accepted to a certain degree.

Electrical and electronic spheres falter, approved to a limited magnitude.

Hotels and Hospitals  deviate ,endorsed to a restricted dimension.

Consumer durable and infrastructure shiver, resigned to a  level.

Media slightly shakes.

Then there is a bewilderment.

There  arises a deep hatred.

A leading business daily from India has fallen off grace, after publishing, a series of posts, elaborating as how the Indian barons bring up their children, making it look appealing with the parents holding their children with pride. The parents beam in their best attire. Their progeny pose with a huge grin .

Parents beget children, not because they are rich, not because they are successful, not because they can afford.

It is an evolution , which is found in all species, whether they be a reptile, mammal, bird, insect or an imal

Each genre is happy of its brood.

A monkey clings to its small one so tightly, afraid of kidnapping,I suppose.

The bird takes great care of its birdling. It flies far and wide in search of food to its young ones.

The cat gets angry, if anyone goes near its little ones.

The dog gets ferocious ,if it sees a person nearing its offsprings.

Man also rich or poor , nurtures his child with utmost diligence.

Every parent aims to give the best to his children,

Every parent wants to st a standard to his young ones.

Every parent wishes to educate his children, beyond his means.

Every parent gives liberty to his children to choose the vocation as they wish.

Narayanmurthy and his beloved wife Sudha, the Goenkas, the Burmans, the Piramals , all begot children as any other parent.

Did the leading daily found anything supernatural in the birth of this affluent young ones?

They went to schools, perhaps in chauffeur driven limousines.unlike the less fortunate who went in bicycles,,bus, autos, or the least by walk.

They went to higher classes by taking the examinations.

The humbler would have gone to local colleges, not to Stanford, Harvard or Wharton.

They would have found employment, or set up a small business to earn their bread and ,unlike these blessed group, who will inherit a vast commercial empire.

The posts though it dealt in lenghth about the bringing up of these children gave a shallow study of their rearing, thus making nil sense.

When there are so many hot issues to cover, why did this cherished news paper publish such bizarre casts?
