The morning was beautiful
with plenty of sunshine
the appointment was early
and had to rush through
the morning chores.
As the time was nearing
popped into the car
with my husband on the wheels.
Got down on time
with people looking at me
in a curious note.
I greeted all with cheer
knowing not the reason for stare
while my friend came towards me
took me aside and told me
that I was with one ear stud.
Shocked and amused at the same time
I rushed back home
wore an alternate stud
went back to the appointment
This time also everyone stared at me
for a different reason of vanishing
for a while and then appearing again
showing no feelings met the person
who was not a millionaire or a country’s chief
one not from the material world
but from the external stratosphere
residing in a shrine.

A Mockery And Tease
The Old Man’s Watch.
The house had a watch
an old man in his seventies
sat next to the gate
with a big stick
and a bigger iron rod
ready to attack with force
anyone who trespassed.
So he stood for an hour
then went round the house to monitor
came back and stood there
as before in a state ready
to charge the trespassers
all in one blow.
Standing for more than two hours
his tired legs gave way and he sank
on his stool stretching his legs.
As all things goes he felt sleepy
and before he could sit in comfort
his eyes closed firmly shunning the world.
A quarter of an hour later
the lady of the house came out
seeing the watch in deep slumber
opened her mouth to shout in anger
but his drooping figure with the stick
and rod in hand made her sad .
The next day she called the old man
who frightened to face the lady came trembling.
She looking kindly at him said with sympathy
that he could retire and be at home.
Reading his mind the lady said
his salary would be taken care off.

Start And end.
Rains come fast
Thunders with a blast
lightning with a cast
all come without a past
creating a toss
bringing about a farce
making men cross
and their actions harsh
well, where did i start?
Where am I now?
I have got away from the track
going into the crack
Oh! am I deviating from the path
making me a target of wrath.
No! i should step away
as I am getting in and out.
without any substance.
The Eagle And The Sparrow.
Saw a large eagle
perched high up
looking all around
with eyes burning
Well, down below
saw the sparrows
trembling with fear
squeaking incessantly.
Peeping through the window
saw a little sparrow lying half dead
with its wings fluttering
groaning in pain.
With the heavy heart
rushed out to bring the sparrow in
The eagle overtook me
and lifted it high above.
A Lady’s Anger.
Nothing more to keep firm.
nothing else to hold intact.
So saying the lady
walked out in disdain
spilling out a displeasure
that had rocked her for years.
It is a truth that she was deprived.
Her patience has been tested.
Brooking no more of such deceit
she walked out with disdain
spilling out her displeasure.
that burnt her all these years.
Each word when recalled still pierces.
Each act when recollected still hurts.
Each move when remembered still deflects.
The lady walked out in disdain
spilling out the displeasure
that had wrecked her life all these years.
The walk of disdain would not stay calm.
The thought of anger would remain composed.
The feeling of loss would not keep long
All would bring out a tumultuous thunder
breaking the family into a pieced flounder

Various Intones-Haiku
Falstaffian Humour.
The Falstaffian humour
with a kind of rascalism
and with subtle satirical reference
adds to the whimsical in general
serving as an interlude in particular.
The Falstaff of Shakespeare
being a bundle of contradiction
with a large body and
a mischievous humour
is a real enchanting character.
Such humour with a modulation
and with the overture of geniality
is rare to find in this modern world
both in literature and real life
a character with enormous vigour
With a perfect body language
he jokes making others laugh
He being a knave without malice
and a liar without deceit
also a knight without valour.
His wit is quick and sharp .
lending a non-moral humour
ridiculing the ideals of manhood
and criticising the ideas of valour.
tagging them both with irreverence .
Crafting such a person of mirth
combining happiness with humour
fitting them in a structure huge and fat
making him talk with roguish temper
is the ability of the great master Shakespeare.

Placing The ‘I’ Before Everything
The fish floating on water
calls to the bird flying in the aiir
which in turn calls to the horse
galloping on the land .
The horse carrying the man
speaks not for fear of being beaten.
it goes on a trot into the woods
the man going on and on.
Tired and exhausted the horse stands put
not able to take one step further
it reclines down near a pond
and looks at the ripples in the water.
The fish tossing over comes above
seeing the horse ‘s condition calls the bird
who gets into the pond and makes a flutter
bringing out lot of cool breeze and pushing out cool water.
The horse drank the water to its heart’s content
thanking the fish for its timely help
gets up while the man comes after a meal heavy,
climbs on the horse and rides off.
The animals and birds show feelings of love
while man selfish as he is thinks of none
but goes on with his job unperturbed
always placing the ‘I’ in front of everything.
