A beautiful flower  in full bloom

a lovely child  in full smiles

a painting in full life

a building in a splendour

would compete with each other

one overwhelms the other

the only one that  stands out

that carries in a sway

to which I fall  head over heels

could you guess from the choices

a few chances I extend to you

let them be my takeaways

no, you cannot tell the one

I like perhaps you would also like

being the smile of a child

innocence shines through

the toothless smile wins over

the sparkle in the eyes

turns to be a bliss as always.smile

Lucky they be who go happy

nothing more to worry

they  move about in a hurry

nothing more to  die hard

they carry on without any  efforts hard

accomplish everything in a  way not hard.

 

Lucky be those who  ride on other’s shoulders

nothing more as they are emboldened

they go forward without any folders

attain everything easily like the toddlers.

 

Lucky be those who are lucky

nothing more to be than luckier

they are deemed to be lucky

surpass everyone as they are lucky.

Way back in the eighties

way back when I was young

way back I was so active

way back I had my family around

I sit at home with my furniture

gaze at them with love

talk to them as if they could hear

scold them for being impertinent

smile at them with affection

caress them with tender care

yes, I live with them  in rooms

where they lie idle  and beautiful

none to sit or lie on them

be us  the husband and wife

look at each other with love

been with us romantic in early years

turned now to a care for each other

prefer the company of one another

though there occurs no more conversations

just a look with a beam of love.

Economy in jitters

so go the tweeters

China fumbles

oil tumbles

the European Union

falters  and falls

the Americas

go up and down

stocks fall

indices in fear

a  mayhem is found

could be a turmoil

similar to Nature’s

2015 saw many downs

crashes and terror.

2016 has  a start

looks it would  push up

not very encouraging

The inspiration  I receive

from  corners unknown

one could not believe

comes from places not well known.

 

The interest I show

on objects  ordinary

one could not better show

springs a surprise beyond  degrees.

 

A bird sits on my window

day in and day out pecks

with its sharp beak rather hollow

an injury to my decks.

 

A squirrel runs up and down

day in day out  plays hide and seek

swift and sharp in its  run

an episode of freak.

 

A flower  white and pure

could be a jasmine  in due

attracts me with a lure

an exclusive  aroma and hue.

 

The one  green and feeble

could be a grass in a specific

shines, dances and trembles

a picturesque  detail in graphic.

 

I could go  with my enumerations

those  being the most unsophisiticated

cause a lot of distractive inspirations

The Table Rose.


The button rose  as it be called

more so a table rose as known

catches the sight in a quick

looks so beautiful  with no stick.

 

They bloom in multitudes

colourful in a hue

yellow, pink and red in  due

lovely they dance in magnitudes.

 

The table rose being so tiny

cute and pretty in a  spread

grow everywhere with less care

never could see them bare.

 

Being the cousin of the royal one

they participate in the adorn

though not as stately as the  majesty

turn out to be a  sheer beauty.

 

Not all could claim tall

nor could achieve great

could  claim high in their ride

The Girl Wants To Go Home.


The girl wants to go home

she  has been in a roam

for a time in the storm

has lost her way back home.

 

She is stranded for a while

calls “mama, mama” all the while

could not find anyone  in the  side

cries with fear none being beside.

 

The passers  by look at her with pity

none did wish to take her to the city

which she called to be  her  own

cried with fear in a pathetic tone.

 

One kind person came to her

held her hand with love for sure

wiped her tears  with care

took her in her arms  an act rare.

 

The people around looked on

the samaritan  played no fun

walked with the child  not in haste

she being a soul all the more chaste.

 

The girl immediately took to her

smiling she went with her

at least one among the crowd

released the girl from her shroud.

 

Being, as it is, a very easy effort

none did offer to help but deferred

know not why people behave so?

The Poetic Muse


The poetic muse lives far away

beyond one’s reach in a way

being intangible all the more

elusive like a mirage  even more.

 

When it comes into hold

would allow you to unfold

passionate you would turn

the incitements would burn.

 

Being possessed  by the muse

you could easily play the ruse

the words and emotions intertwine

the pun and parody keep the shine.

 

The poetic muse lies far away

beyond anyone’s reach in a way

the gifted could reach it with ease

others would remain with  a tease.
