Spring Arrives

it is a morning call

being the crows call

reluctant to wake up

go further down in a step

a snort and a snore  loud

could be heard  with a sound

the daily chores  are spring arrives so

as the rest come in a row.

Come winter  the snow sweeps

whisks through the breeze

the summer heralds a show

as activities go in a flow

the fall is wonderful

with colour changes in full

come spring with its glory

reminiscent of the hoary.

The advent of spring  in a bloom

dispels the long set gloom

the flowers break out in a blossom

like to hold them to the bosom

the trees bear fruits small and big

all but with no exception of a fig

the birds tweet and chirp with such melody

as they sit up  and sing with rhapsody.

The lovely season of all

spring beckons  a great call

the yellow tinge spreads all through

lightens up the valley with concepts true

the golden sunlight that passes in a flood

cheers up the face   with a new blood

it is an all round celebration sumptuous

release an exaltation not dubious

The Black Squirrel

A squirrel  in the garden

black and robust

runs up and down

seems  in a hurry

up it goes in a speed

perches itself high

gnaws the berries as fast

as  much as it could

descends down in a scurry

with the nuts in hand

rushes to the flower beds

digs a hole in a second

buries the nuts in it

closes the burrow in no time

perhaps it is its bank

might be an investment

as in the economics

might be a storage

be that of in ordinary

it is its vault for the winter

a lovely way to keep going

Well! a little squirrel also knows

the benefits of  saving too!

The Snow

What a beauty to see the white fluffy flakes!

Falling  extensively over land and lakes,

Leaving a cold layer  of slushy  blaze

Presenting a wonderful  glaze.

The snow fall tends heavy in mid winter,

Releasing a freezing cold all over,

Trees and roads  turn white,

Experiencing  a biting cold bitter.

Snow pushers are seen all the way,

Working with spades to clear their bay,

Kids cuddle inside the  rooms,

As the large boulders of  ice loom

Winter is a season of exhaustion

With no daylight  distribution,

Darkness encircles the day

Forcing a deliberate  gray.

Old age is a phase difficult to bear,

Besieged with physical and mental tear,

A renewal of  agility and vigour is rare,

Crossing the years is a terrific bear.

Wading through the snow is onerous,

Living in old age  becomes calamitous,

Snow receedes as summer  comes,

Old people pass away as death  approaches.
