Water surrounds the earth as sea and ocean,
Covering three-fourths of the portion,
Encircling the vast land notion,
With a chivalrous secure caution
The lashing rain cools the soil
Relieving the farmers of their toil
Streams overflow in a gorgeous coil,
Renewing the vigour in the lively boil.
The surplus water gushes into the lane,
Flooding the thoroughfare again,
It rushes into the gutters like an insane,
Flows into the sea causing much pain.
There is an erring withhold of usage,
The customary projects of ancient age,
Have been dumped into the garbage.
Creating a reckless disoriented seepage.
Much of the benefits of rain have been thrown out,
By undue indifference and irreverence throughout,
As we resort not to conservation of this resource all out,
But indulge in absolute deviation of programmes in tout.
The ponds and pools have become plots,
The rivers and streams are sandy slots,
The oceans and seas look as disdained clots,
Water in there assumes dirty blots.
The benign source is thwarted by all,
The little drops from the eyes fall,
An unknown sadness presses like a ball,
As the heart sobs and screams at the brutal call.
Understand! The power of water is enormous,
As its blessings are bounteous,
Also note!Its destruction is voluminous,
Creating a desolation ignominious.
