The Coral Reef


The coral reef are bleached  mostly

a phenomenon rare and ungracious

none could be blamed  in the superficiality

a slight turn outward  could show  the raucous .

 

The barrier reef being so beautiful  and  amazing

lose the colour due to temperature  rise  abnormal

the behind the scene of action by man is demeaning

initiates the warming of the globe  formally.

 

Man  does more and more to  rouse a flare up

a boil and a spill over takes place  in an acceleration

the wonders of the world wriggle and wind up

while the beauty is lost for ever in such a demonstration.

 

Nature stands bereft of its grace and poise

unknowing what to do and how to withstand

given its bounties it has lots of choices

would strike back unmercifully if gotten a chance.coral reef

The Natural Design


The silvery line of the sky
the sun’s golden hue
an attire of sapphire over the waters of the ocean
the hills with an emerald tinge
the orchards with fruits hanging like rubies
the dew drops sitting pretty like pearl
the tomatoes exhibiting the tone of the corals
the stars come out twinkling like diamonds
with that the platinum designations come forward
extending a lovely thematic expensive aura of delight.

Locked in the North


It is a sleepy lethargic laid back town,

Amidst a land of  sandy brown,

Holding a wonderful  delicate crown,

Displayed  in the bluish under water frown,

A  voluminous  natural  great reef barrier  grown,

Clusters of colourful corals  diligentlyy thrown,

Lying in heaps and mounds not alone.

 

Fish and sea urchins live along,

Sea cucumber and star fish   dive head long,

Jelly fish sting with a venom not too long,

All jointly devour the moss with a tong,

Causing a damage to the great reef all along,

Unperturbed the Ocean reef sprouts in a throng,

Not losing the lovely charm in a song.

 

It is Australia’s natural gift, all hail,

The only living thing  seen from space  in a trail,

Greater than the “Great Wall Of China”  in the sail,

A “mecca” to holiday makers is  a slogan   frail,

Therein lies an abundance of beauty  as though in a pail,

Hundreds of islands and coral reefs  are hinged together  in a nail, 

It is Cairns high up in the northern Queensland  posing an enticing  unveil.
