No One is a Foe.

A cat on the wall

I see  him on my wall

burly and brown

whiskers long  and grown.

The cat on my  wall

sits tight on the wall

stares at me fiercely

am an intruder truly.

Sits there for long almost tired

unhappy as his wall is shared

I too, for my part, sit there  tired

unhappy as my wall is shared.

Anger brews and fury rises

seen in the cat’s eyes

found  in a sparkle  bright

emits an animosity  straight.

I control my temper  with not ease

feel bad as if I am teased

want to drive the cat out

he an illegal occupant all throughout .

The  cold war lasted for a while

both of us indignant in style

I chastizing him for his intrusion

he mumbling  against my  intervention.

All things have to come to an end

in a way or another one has to bend

so did the cat with a bow

understood, cat sits no one is a bitter foe.

Two Little Birds.

Two little birds on the wall

a sign of happiness in all

a strange inference I believe

nothing much it gives.

They know not what we think

sit there and  nicely blink

could have come for a rest

only they know the reason best.

We are clever in interpretations

could be a gift of the imagination

an ordinary event gains importance

like that of birds on the wall in reference.

The Cat On My Roof.

The cat mews from very near

sometimes it cries like a baby  in fear

sobs and whimpers on and off  at times

makes me wonder for a time

wherein the baby has come from

when only two of us live here

no others in the vicinity as of now

the fat  cat in my back yard with its hoofs

moves up and down my tiled roof

a thud like noise is heard  in the  night

stealthily crosses my wall in silence

a curiosity in its eyes  seen in  intense

as if I have intruded its privacy

cuddles under my cars  securely

enjoys the afternoon siesta  peacefully.

being so, a few days ago it had a guest

a big white cat  with whiskers  full of zest

both would take a stroll in the evening

the clock tower on the first evening

the next day  would visit the market CAT-03-KH0058-01P

the third day to the river front  for a while

the oil palm plantations would be the final trial

hope the guest would move back home very soon

as I am not prepared to have both of them till noon,

Fairest. Poetry

Fairest Of All

Mirror, mirror on the wall
who is the fairest of all?
each one of us has this call
whether we are tall
or look like a dumb doll
round and plump like a ball
no matter what we are in self
we are proud of our self
say to the mirror
“I am the fairest of all.”

mirror , mirror

Throw Concepts

Throw concepts on the wall

just fix them tall

 leave them there in all

never bother to pursue them to call

an attack would be sensible to fall

otherwise it would be an addiction in small

carry with it nothing in crawl

a statement let out  in all

take it or leave it is your call

that is   the choice of  a poet

who writes with sincerity  in quiet.

The Rainbow Effect.

The white cat on the red wall
jumped down on the green grass
beautifully kept with violets around.

It strode across the muddy path
leading to a magnificent golden court
where little girls in pink download (9)pinafore stood.

The girls were playing in the twilight
with the blue moon shining over them
as the black night slowly advanced through.

The fluffy cat  hopped over to the blue waters
that lay little off the  orange orchard
where her  brown kittens  loitered about.

Reaching the orchard she sank on the ground
as she being exhausted and tired
while the sky turned indigo as the night advanced.

A Cat On The Wall

A black cat sat on the wall
He was black as coal.
pure black and shining on whole
with whiskers long and strong
and looks sharp and on wrong
was perched on it for long.

Looking at it for a while
was impressed by its style
sitting pretty with a bushy tail
seemed to think in a trail
the events that had sailed.

He sat there firm and decided
No thought of taking sides.
Looked unfazed like a statue
apparently thinking of avenues
to get going in an aptitude
releasing itself from servitude.

The cat at the most opportune moment
jumped from the wall on to the pavement.
Started to run in speed without turning
towards the woods in a winding
On reaching moved into the dense
away from the wall and the master thence.

The Wall

berlin wallgreat wall of china.Nothing could pass through
as the partition was thick .
Nothing could pass through
as the division was in brick.
Nothing could enter through
either physical or abstract
as the passage was guarded
with the best available track.

The wall real or imaginary
is an obstacle for promiscuous revelry.
The wall serves as a fortress
against ill will and theatrical largess
The wall would outbeat the Berlin Wall
in its eloquence and in grandeur tall.
The Great Wall of China would play a second fiddle
to the wall raised in mind and heart looking like a riddle.

Locked in the North

It is a sleepy lethargic laid back town,

Amidst a land of  sandy brown,

Holding a wonderful  delicate crown,

Displayed  in the bluish under water frown,

A  voluminous  natural  great reef barrier  grown,

Clusters of colourful corals  diligentlyy thrown,

Lying in heaps and mounds not alone.

Fish and sea urchins live along,

Sea cucumber and star fish   dive head long,

Jelly fish sting with a venom not too long,

All jointly devour the moss with a tong,

Causing a damage to the great reef all along,

Unperturbed the Ocean reef sprouts in a throng,

Not losing the lovely charm in a song.

It is Australia’s natural gift, all hail,

The only living thing  seen from space  in a trail,

Greater than the “Great Wall Of China”  in the sail,

A “mecca” to holiday makers is  a slogan   frail,

Therein lies an abundance of beauty  as though in a pail,

Hundreds of islands and coral reefs  are hinged together  in a nail,

It is Cairns high up in the northern Queensland  posing an enticing  unveil.

The Other Side

Beyond the walls lies the other side

Mostly  the pastures are green on the other side,

The numerical coins have two sides,

They do expose a head and a tail,

Man has a single face,

 But he shows different countenance,

 He smiles at one,

Scorns the  other,

He looks  up with admiration across,

Also turns away  with contempt all over,

 His eyes  reveal kindness,

They emit evil too,

 His face reflects the mind,

It also refracts the heart,

His  heart sings,

It also cries,

His  mind discerns,

It also swings,

The other side is gorgeous  more so

When it depicts a liking,

It is disastrous most often

When it creates a dislike,

The other side in most  attributes is constant,

Lo! the other side in man is variant.

So goes the Poet’s thought,

Exploring the  thresholds of the human.
