It is the eclipse the day before
seen beautifully in the night
lunar eclipse did show up
pujas and homams took place
my land has beliefs
for each phenomenon of nature
Especially for the eclipses
pariharams for different stars
archanas for the stars
with flowers and coconuts
and new vastras donated
the day after the eclipse
people throng the temples
do the required penance
well, my land abounds with such faith
say the astrologers it is based on science
I know not for real
as I believe in Good
not on the rituals so elaborate.

Because I said so
is the common version
I had warned you before
you did not listen to the reason
this way the interpretation goes
could be an interruption in a close
tilt the balance so quick
it would seem to be a great pick
a rightful thought could also be
yet go within a glee
do not say you said so
it would raise issues in toe
firm in your words as such
creates a sensibility very much
that is how one has to deal
instead because I said so is not a heal
it is but repetitive words in a chorus.
