The Eve Of Diwali

The eve of the festival

there is a celebration

the rush in transport

being in trains and buses

overwhelm with  the crowd

roads see heavy  thoroughfare

vehicles ply up and down

children on the way to meet the parents

parents await the arrival of their offsprings

go to pick them from the railway stations

others to the bus stations all agog

few to the airports to receive

beinghappy Diwali a celebration of splendour

illumination with oil lamps adorn the houses

the crackers explode and there is mirth all around

a beautiful evening all the more

with  love sealed by gifts

with blessings renewed with presentations

The External Manifestations.

salubiriousA salubrious weather

cosy and lovely

compels me to  be lazy

I move  not from my place

sit and enjoy the climate

I turn inert and immobile

pass the time on the chair

the external does have an impetus

it casts a reflection on the go

intend a refraction on the  way

a phenomenon radical and rational

like to experience the manifestations

at least once in a year with felicity.

A Glossary

Nine days of this month

being that Of November

with rains in plenty

the sunshine in scanty

the  days seem to pass

with the lovely impasse

a strain of heat not felt

a grain of coolness

surrounds in the most

the birds enjoy the change

the flowers blossom with joy

find  there a freshness all over

a scene of beauty and beatitude

as if in a portraiture of beauty

a glossary of wonder and fascination.waxwings_021_43DB8E7F-5056-8D7B-053017E45D3DED66
