Gone Are The days

Gone are the days,

Of steam and vibrancy.

Of speed and enthusiasm.

Gone are the decisions,

Bestowed with sharp wit,

Frilled with tact and prudence.

Gone is the liveliness,

Endowed with smile and happiness,

Enjoyed with humour and rejoice.

Gone  are the inspirations,

Packed with reverberations,

Embalmed with fragrance.

Gone are the thoughts,

Loaded with  foresight,

Levied with insight.

Gone are the directions,

Leading to delineations,

Reaching the destinations.

Gone are the significance,

Gathering a relevance,

Promoting a reference.

A placidity surmounts,

Compelling a foremost,

Settling to a reverence.

A Little While Ago.

A golden fish was dangling,

In a silvery pond,

A little while ago.

A lazy black cow was grazing,

On a green pasture,

A little while ago.

A venomous snake was hissing,

Across a brown thicket ,

A little  while ago.

A stubborn ass was braying,

Over a rusty  fence,

A little while ago.

A galloping horse was neighing .

Across a grey tunnel,

A little while ago.

A beautiful   bunch of rose

Was beckoning  with a pinky hue ,

A little while ago.

A   fragrant   lovely jasmine,

Was dancing in its its milky white,

A little white ago.

A pretty little girl

Was   smiling with  cheerful bright,

A little while ago.

A cute tiny little star,

Was twinkling in the dark sky,

A little while ago.

I saw all the beauty,

I heard all the melody,

Only a little while ago.

A Passion

Writing is my passion,

It calls for distinction,

As it is a creation,

With exact narration,

Linking with  reason,

Smothered with  imagination,

Believed to be a translation,

Of the mind’s explanation,

Described as an expression,

Of the heart’s emotion,

Enraptured in a navigation,

Of losing  one’s identification,

Sailing in a deemed premonition,

Of grand splendid celebration

Spurring an exuberance of reverberation,

That of spontaneous  revelation,

Of rejoice and exhilaration

The Sparrow And Me

Tweeting all the way,

Down its causeway,

The little sparrow,

Sits on my window.

I go about my way,

Addressing my routine pay,

While the sparrow,

Flutters at the window,

I attend to the  call,

Of a distinct claim tall,

As the sparrow,

Chirps from my window.

I move around  the house,

Taking time to browse,

When the sparrow,

Perches above the window.

I finish up my chores,

Then close all my doors,

At once the sparrow,

Whistles across the window.

I  take a short  nap,

From the rigorous  lap,

Inching the sparrow,

Cackles from  the window.

Only now I barely see

This tiny lovely  wee,

Longingly  the sparrow,

Bids adieu from the window

I Remember My Mother.

I recall the  golden hours

When I was caressed by you

I retrospect the  days,

When I was reprimanded by you

I think about the years,

When I felt close to you

I recollect the period,

When I was scoffed by you

I recapture the events,

When  I was blessed by you,

I restructure the  anecdotes ,

When I was ejected by you.

I saw the two sides of you,

The good in my younger days,

The bad in my older  years.

Let the affection  be  a  dream,

Let the friction  be  an illusion.

I  remember your  unfathomable  love alone,

I retrace  your  cherished thoughts alone,

I   renew your  graceful behests alone.

Which   have made me ,

What  I am today,

Which has given  me the tenacity,

That I carry with pride..

Which  has  endowed me with acumen,

That   aids me in my progress,

It is an inheritance,

That  none can deny me.

I hear  your   firm voice

Bidding me to  work hard,

I visualise your  stern eyes,

Commanding  me to talk less,

I feel  your  strong presence,

Ordering me to do more.

I see in your  astounding execution,

Great skill and talent,

Which you  have passed on to me,

Which none could  grab or plunder.

Yet , you in course of years,

Fell down from your elite status,

Of comfort and luxury,

Tumbled  down  from your citadel,

Of fame and name.

While ,I stood watching your ignominy,

Helpless  but in profound grief.

.

Ma, What went wrong ?

I failed to ask you,

When you were alive.

I tried many a time,

But I never got a chance,

As you were not yourself,

In your last years,

A mere helpless puppet,

In the hands of many,

Who came not from your tribe,

But from a disaster zone,

Robbed you of your pluck,

Deprived you of your luck,

You knowingly or unknowingly,

Became a weakling,

Both in mind and body,

All  at the same time,

Which pushed  you tooblivion,

Never to catch the glory,

Which was yours in prime.

Oh! my dear mother,

Rest you in the grave,

Like a  poor lamb,

Helpless and ignorant.

I still remember you mother,

Not as a lamb,

But as a Lady,

Highly talented and competent.

Let me live ,

With that precious memories alone

A Rivulet Sings.

A tiny stream of water,

Gushes down the path,

Holding across all,

Tortoise, frogs, and fish,

Moving along in,

A happy band,

Making noise all over,

Chattering and croaking,

Gleefully and merrily

While the tiny rivulet

Sings  to itself,

A melodious song,

That of life and blood,

That of vibrancy and velocity,

That of cheer and humour,

That of fineness and lustre,

Miniscule magnifies the trifle,

Trivia enlarges the small,

Small enhances the  beauty,

Beauty  merges with divinity,

Thus forming a plane

Of essence and vitality,

Renewing faith and trust,

Invoking prayer and benediction,.

Which ensue a grand denouement.

It is God’s Will

It is a usual day,

With a gay morn,

When an unexpected call,

Disturbed the whole lot,

By breaking the monotony

Much to the chagrin of many,

Putting me in a state of surprise,

Unable to understand the relevance,

Unfit to equate the claim,

Unresolved to accept the duty,

I lay astonished,

I could not gather,

What it is all about?

While I was  shunned by my family,

While I was deprived of my rights,

When I was cheated of my share,

I find myself entrusted ,

With a great responsibility,

Which surpasses  that  which I am denied

When my due was pulled from me,

This largesse falls on my lap,

While I am treated mercilessly,

This trust in me holds me  high

As the family made me an outlaw,

The society has conferred an encomium.

I still cannot believe,

It is beyond my comprehension,

It sounds strange,

Yet it is true,

How did it happen? I question

It is God’s will ,I conclude.

Somehow- A Compromise.

There was a huge gathering,

There was a great excitement,

Almost pushing everyone ,

To the grand staging

Of a mediocre recital,

Delivered by a powerful family,

Strong in politics,

Stronger in finance,

Strongest in atrocity,

Commanding all  in one go,

Throwing out wealth in one sway,

Challenging anyone who came by way,

Posing an imperious array,

While the performance began,

With an  incorrigible  rhythm,

There appeared a writhing discomfort,

As the recital went  halfway

The cadence broke loose,

There seemed to be a forced silence,

The   forced thrill died down,

The uncomfortable audience bowed down,

In shame of their participation,

In disgust  of their inability to oppose,

Yet the performer was at ease,

Rendering  a jarring   melody .

Somehow things go on,

Knowingly or unknowingly,

Ordinarily or extraordinarily,

Meekly or authoritatively,

Pleasantly or unpleasantly,

The world goes on.

Passion

A pleasant feeling  I experienced

When I went round the fence,

Inhaling a fine  aroma

Which comes out of the  rose

Registering an exuberance.

A lovely  experience I felt,

When I moved round the belt,

Imbibing a  desirous  note,

Which came out of the  gathering,

Recording a staunch forte.

A picturesque scenery I  sighted

When I climbed a hill   exalted

Invigorating a  grand sublimity

Which emanated from the  depiction,

Reminding of a dainty depiction.

Passion in all things we  see and do,

Leaves a memo  all true,

synchronizing a cordiality,

Which retains  a unique modality.

Beautiful Beauty

I see beauty in the lovely dawn,

As the sun makes it entry,

Into the  duration of yawn,

Creating a dazzling gaiety.

I espy beauty in the  dainty flower,

As it gleefully dances merrily

In accord to the shower,

Portraying a jubilation gleefully.

I notice beauty in a song,

As it propels a melody,

In cadence to the long,

Proposing a  celestial rhapsody.

I  find   beauty in a child,

As it chuckles joyfully,

In tune to the  mild,

Propagating a cheer happily.

I see a beauty  everywhere,

As it is strewn all around,

Even in nook and corner,

Enriching the basic ground.
