Merry Christmas

The birth of Jesus is celebrated as Christmas, since the thirteenth century.

The incarnation of God and redeemer of human race, Jesus of Nazareth is the central figure of Christianity.

He was born to retrieve the world from sin, perfidy and greed.

Jesus was a heroic mighty man capable of performing miracles and he had a penchant for the poor and women.

A similar birth is the need of the hour , to resurrect the world from suffering, pain , and treachery.

Let us wish for a divine apparition to save us from political uncertainty, economic turbulence and behavioural turmoil.

Let us hope for an assured deliverance of good, cheer , gaiety and prosperity in the year 2009.

The Fixation

Spinning money , is the latest mania.

Mortals are obsessed with money and its allurements.

Make money , by hook or crook, become rich overnight, wallow in luxury, display wealth ,are the maxims of the present populace.

Calling a convention, for obscure events is the fashion of the day.

Hosting a big party for insignificant idylls is the way of today’s life.

Spending extravagantly for short ,irrelevant issues , is the progression of society.

This strange behaviour is absolutely erroneous. It puts salt into my mouth. It is an abrupt contempt for society.

It may be termed as total disregard for environment.

Environment pollution is not only restricted to surroundings, to noise, to air , to water,but also to behaviour.

This nauseating attitude contaminates the mind by causing dipleasure and discomfort .

The harm committed thus is grave and serious., leading to mental discomfiture.

Remainder Reminder

Remainder usually remminds us of the original.

The remainder of the financial gallery is a ghostly reminder.The reminder is the pale skeleton of the original.There is virtually nothing,. That which cannot be destroyed has been annihilated, has been exhumed.

I go back to my school days, when my Maths teacher would din subtraction and division into our heads.

What is the remainder you derived , when you divided 66 by 5 ?

We answered the reminder is 1.

Now what will be the reminder , if you divide 66 by 6?

We shouted , it is 0 (zero.)

Recent economic digressions remind us of this remainder.

The financials show a net remainder of zero.

No value can be attributed to stocks and products.

Depletion of stock value have cost many a life.

Disappearance of money invested in hedge funds have led to loss of lives.

Job losses have directed death.

Wage displacement have moved towards ending life.

The economy melt down has swiftly effaced prosperity and eluded mental equanimity.

The downturn is driving us mad, is provoking us , is presenting a gloom , is spreading despair and forcing us to writhe in anguish.

Life becomes a hallucination, a perception void of stimulus, and transcription devoid of growth.

Why should we attribute so much importance to such frivolous concepts.?

Our goal, is to progress, to advance in our pursuits, to earn for our sustenance, to extend love and consideration, and to be a worthy mortal.

These perceptions , do not need astrological endorsements, do not require numerological coherence, do not insist colour combinations, but forebodes a clear mind and passion for performance.

An unabated spirit ,is sufficient to go through most difficult situations, and emerge with robust success .

The Enthusing Love

Love and let live.

Love thy neighbour as thyself

There are innumerable quotes that speak high of love.

With the complexity and diversity of feelings, love is difficult to be defined.

It is an abstract emotion.

I had to attend a function of one of my relatives, in honour of his sixtieth birthday.

He is a man of limited means, but possesses lovable grace.

He is shot in stature , but towers above all in his behaviour.

He is thorough in our rituals and practices, very affable, very helpful and no gossip monger.

He moves about unobtrusively , and a call brings him to the spot.

His sixteeth birthday function drew a large crowd. People associated with him , relatives , friends , took part in the celebration with a full heart and extended their well wishes in good faith.

The feast that followed was excellent. The small thoughtful gift , he gave was simple but beautiful.

The function was devoid of pomp and splendour, of ostentation and display of wealth.

Instead , it was one that revealed that Love without riches can perform, Love without glamour can emerge victorious.

It showed that Love conjoined with modesty and simplicity would result in unnerving friendship and inimitable sublimity.

The British Raj enslaved India .They ruled imperiously, behaved atrociously, decimated India’s wealth , bifurcated the country, and left the nation after debasing and degrading the economy, the culture, and the mental make up.

Jaguar land Rover , is the key contributor to U.K. economy.Its bankruptcy will affect the industry.

The U. K government is deliberating on the bail out for jaguar .

Tata Motors infusion of funds is a great sign of relief for the British government.We are witnessing a poetic irony.

What an amazing turn of events.

Plastic Everywhere.

Here a plastic, there a plastic,

Everywhere a plastic, plastic ,plastic,-goes the modern rhyme.

There was a convention in my neighbourhood. The gathering were a batch of local environmental experts . The speakers were delivering speeches of how to prevent environmental damage.

Many reporters were jotting the main points , related to the issue.

My mind was raving about,as I had never been a proper listener. My eyes got stuck on the plastic podium, the plastic table with a plastic vase adorned by plastic flowers. The table was covered by a plastic sheet. Mineral water in plastic bottles were distributed to the delegates to wet their throat.

The talk was going on,and speaker after speaker decried the use of plastic. I was amused. The situation and the core subject were contradictory.

We dispersed for lunch. They had arranged a buffet. Hot soup was offered in a plastic cup. Plastic plates were handed over to all of us. We managed to push food with plastic spoons and forks. Then we moved to the wash basin to have a quick wash. Lo ! the tap was a colourful one., made of plastic.

The afternoon session began, again there was a harangue about the demeaning qualities of plastic.

I could not control my laughter this time.

The message of the convention was lost. Talking one thing and doing the other.

My countenance changed into plastic. My thoughts got stuck up like plastic.Plastic is overwhelming, as it is stepping beyond the approval limits.

The environment is the butt of such unmindful transgression.
