Put Down Their Heads.

Striding along with heads high
they thought they have won.
Not knowing what is on the other side
they walked along not with a sigh.

Reaching the destination at one point
they stood there for the announcement
assuring themselves they are the victors
detached themselves from the people’s joint.

There was not a large crowd long
as people were not so much engrossed
the announcement came as a bolt from the blue
making the presumptions go wrong .

Those who strode with heads high
had to put down their heads in ignominy
as they have taken lightly the other side
thinking themselves to be great and high.

The hair has gone grey.
The lovely black sheen
has become a silvery shine.
The blackness gave a pretty look
while the grey lends a wise tinge.
Both are good and great
one being the tone of youth
and the other a colour of wisdom.
Going with black was easy
as the younger days were jolly good
Getting on with grey proves dizzy
as therein comes up the responsibility.
With duties increasing manifold
the greying shoots up multifold
having to move with silvery locks
and unwanted wrinkles and spots brown
with the aging there enters the blocks
both physical and mental in the run
one tumbling over the other
falling flat with a thud.

Nonchalant She Be

Nonchalant she be.
Determined and resolved
she otherwise is very free
moves with specific fold
not involving in unnecessary
trivia and trial in hold
keeping a distance necessary
her ideals are distinctly bold
she never falls for anyone
however great they might be
she never bows down to anyone
however powerful they might be
leading a life special and significant
with a careful sense of relevance
and a scrupulous sensibility of reverence.

Who Be The Winner?

With the expectations mounting up
as the results are coming to close
one party feels it is high up
while the other watches close.

The one who expects much thinks great
feeling at the top of the world
while the other who has nothing to rate
keeps quiet in a striking fold.

Well, the loud spoken has high aims
as winning is by his side he thinks
while the soft-spoken remains tame
willing to accept anything without a blink.

The outspoken forgets the opponent’s strength
considering only his skill and tact
while the quiet one equals the other’s length
by exactly looking at the facts.

As we deliberate on the pros and cons
the results would have been flashed by now
not waiting anymore to see who dons
as the winner is whom we do not know.

Not keeping the suspense any more
let me come out with the publication.
Are you dying not to wait any more?
it is the quiet man who excels in jubilation

A Likely Man.

He being least bothered
gets on his way uninterrupted
as many know he would not stop
or listen to what others talk
having been on his own for long
paying attention to none all along
doing everything as he wishes
going to places whenever he feels
having a cabinet of men to work for him
investing in stocks and shares
buying properties and commodities
reading books and seeing pictures
undergoing a disciplined life on his own
not troubling anyone at any time
and not liking to be troubled too.
Such people are rare to find nowadays
as all would like to poke their nose
smelling something great and juicy
that would keep them engaged for another day.

Nothing At All

Having done lot of home work
checking page by page in diligence
doing a thorough search from desk
jotting down the variation with reference
trying to align the details to the best
straining all through the hours tirelessly
has taken lot of energy from the body in test
leaving the mind berserk and shoddy endlessly
giving a jolt to the physique
and a set back traumatic.
Well, that has been my way of life
slogging and shunting all through
for nothing at all personally
only for the sake of pride generally

Curtains Down

Reading the script again and again
the actor looked clueless
To make him understand it was written again
still the actor remained clueless.
The writer could not get it again
so went in search for another none the less.
There did not end the problem again
It started off differently nevertheless
Searching led to serious hunting again
while listing an actor became a hunt tireless.
Going on and on in a movement again
the script lost its originality more or less.
Then came the curtains down without enacting.

Song Of Praise And Love.

With what little she could spare
she shared it with others.
With what much she could help
she gave it to others.
With what enough she held
she gifted to others.
With how much happiness she received
she passed on to others.
She did not gather much wealth
She was not in her pink of health.
She was all with smile
She extended cordiality to all without fail.
Such women go unhonored
Such women die unnoticed.
To them I would like to sing
a song of praise and love.

Sauntering through the world of dreams
where everything seems to be fantastic
with pride and joy gathering in a beam

Come morning she has to face the real

with duty and work leading to an original
where all things are weighed by a yardstick
she passes the day with absolute trial.

Looking into one’s eyes
with a straight gaze
gets into the lies
if there is any base
telling more of the ties
with a firm trace
evolving into a try
knowing more in a quick
entering into a buy
finally seeing through the trick
thus concluding it is a blatant lie.
