I opened up a sack
saw something black
kept it on the rack
forgot about it in a slack.
Got to remember it by chance
saw it in a glance
d*mn, lost the balance
the feet gave out in a dance
fell head over heels in a trance
It was a silence
untold and unseen
people go about
with a nod and a smile
cars ply up and down
with no honking
the shops and malls are open
there is no noise
every activity takes place
all done in silence.
Like to know the place
It is Mississauga in the north
a suburb in Toronto
Seen so many places in a short while
each one not different in style
the wish to see more lingers
we go to lands with an eager
with a hope to find more and more
way of attractions and culture.
Lo!end up with nothing great
the perceptions are at any rate
the most similar in outlook
except for a few nooks
be that of the colour of the race
the languages spoken in a trace
the activities resemble one another
either it is in this pole or the other
the transformation is not so marked
the distinction never reaches the target
yet, I could not quell my thirst
as I undertake tours in jest
finally end up with a fatigue
that is me a quixotic critique
The outbound and inbound
keep us bound
wherever we are bound.
The hop on and hop off bus
landed me in a stress
being a new way to see the city
never an invasive way to do so-a real pity.
The hop on at first loop
was exciting in the hoop
as the stops got ahead
was not so interesting in all stead.
The Big Bus, red, blue and yellow
went around Washington with a bellow
the popular ones with the expensive fee
certainly, not the only way to see.
I hopped on and off in intervals
saw through the place at levels
this Museum for a few second
that monument in a split second.
Got on the blue and then the red
knowing not where they led
Yet I, without any disbelief
saw the capital with no relief.
Walked I up and down the city
went around the White House in gaiety
did not perceive anything in intense
Well! my sojourn ended up in nonsense.
I propose not this way of sight-seeing
as it is a disproportionate indulging
the method to see is one by one
that would be the best way in the run.
I reconciled myself as having seen the most
said to me demurely that I have lost
almost nothing in the means I choose
thus, I remain so all through the course.
On to my itinerary seeing cities of fame
came next to NewYork the capital of U.S
down south called after the first President
who conjoined the thirteen colonies
into United States Of America
formed the government meticulously
framed the charter of governance diligently
by burning the midnight oil incessantly
focusing on a new union altogether
a success he achieved not in sleep
but through hard work and master plan
set a precedent rather unassuming
nation carved from a virgin land
made it shine in glory and excellence
earned itself a name of “Big Brother”
triumphantly steered its path
became the world leader of the class
be it in an economy, education and prosperity.
Well, I have drifted apart from the city
that holds attractions vast and myriad
one of a kind linked to memorials
that of to monuments, museums
centres of learning, the Capitol Hill
the famed White House, George town
all in a package so hard to resist
yet have to forgo many in the stride
as time is the reason essential to count
replenishing the pocket with more
so 
as to set the goal of seeing all in one go.
Weird and worn out in the shape
ape
looks like a haggard in form
the great city of New York
lacks the lustre it henceforth
the impetuosity is lost
the statehood never found
What would that be?
it is a but a sad tale to tell
like a woman aging in course
makes up her face in a choice
draws her eyes with care
creases the wrinkles all fair
pays attention to the eyebrows
dyes her hair hiding the grey locks
conceals the blemish with creams
goes on the make do’s for hours
yet the basics remain the same
while with a few hours shine
the artificial dies through
exhibiting the original
so much more this Famed city
has withered with years
as it bursts open slowly
exposing the innermost ugliness
depicted well on the interior
surfacing on to the exterior
the wrinkles ironed out smoothly
appear more prominent than before
same way as in aspects distinct
the land once glorious and exalted
now is pale and beaten to the core
not a picture of beauty any more
only a portrait of a wretched existence
far away from progress and thrive
On a voyage I go
seeing places be the goal
the cities of fame take
the priority all the more.
Go I with expectations high
New York, a place of pride
I chose the place in the stride
away I went with an enthusiasm
Did it stand up to my fascination?
Be that a question hard
proper response on the trial
it was and was not in a way
the charm not so exciting
as the city looks tired and forlorn.
Overused is the epithet that strikes me
overexposed in a fashion that gathers
the city looks aghast in a sequence
of being in the limelight for long
a hype built by men around.
The most happening place they say
the economy or the political rendezvous
it remains the same as past
though with less gleam and noise
succumbs the land to pressure.
The suffix “new” that adorns it
be unclad with a due reverence
to befit the place with a succour
lest it would be a misnomer
such be the status of the metropolis.
Abounds it with attractions various
one of the Statue of Liberty on an island
the Empire State Building high up
with the U.N on an overlook
as the newly built World trade centre hovers
the city needs a rest from now.
This is the level of the great city
very much different from yesterday
the Chinese entry is impressive
seen extensively in commerce
a distinct society is on the rise.
A style of the colonies thirteen
original in the eighteenth century
now attains a dim with a detain
as the eastern hub of the world
rises from oblivion with a composure.
Big apple, as it is fondly called
remains big in a sense apart
a shy residue of the past it is
absolutely diffused and disoriented
just a shade of past glory
I had a dream
it was full of gleam
wonderful fascination it was
but in a quick toss
the reality dawned fast
opening up in a cast
the place that came often
now shows up in a soften
which was beyond imagination
has suffered a repercussion
appears tattered and worn-out
famished and spent out
the streets look chaotic and shoddy
shine through with a gaudy
walls all black and mossy
the entire Manhattan bustles
with subdued ripples
the vociferous talk around
now assumes a weak sound
gone are the days of domination
financial district has lost the rumination
the spell spread a few years back
been there for almost a century in track
slips into a meek disoriented fade
a course none expected in the least
yet that be one of a fall in a heat
as Manhattan seems now in tone
a commercial entity without bone
Oh! it was a shock to me all along
as my stay ends up with this sad song.
Let me tell you in faith
nothing beyond that straight
that what we sow in life
is that we reap in strife
be that the universal effect
poised and balanced sans defect
the words we utter with sarcasm
return with an equal venom
hurts with a strength unbelievable
all these being made possible
by the rashness, we deliver
we know the flow of the river
depends on the inflow it experiences
be that so in behavioural reappearance
