Am I A Visionary?

Cereals oat meal and cream wheat,

Supplement  the morning diet,

As the world over  now rejoices,

On pre-cooked  ready to eat food.

Gone are the days when ,

Baking and boiling,

Frying and steaming,

Took the energy away.

Break open a pack,

Put them into the bowl,

Pour hot or cold milk,

Eat and it is done.

Go about your work,

What to do for lunch?

Again tear open a sachet

Containing cooked meals .

Everything is over in  minutes,

No need of a kitchen,

Nor do we require,

Stove  and oven.

Expecting a same temper,

For other chores,

Like bath and wash,

All to be done in seconds.

If minutes and seconds work,

What is  the need?

For hours and days,

Months and years.

Longevity advances ,

To 70, 80 and 90,

What to do ?

So long and so forth.

Hours will become a day,

Day assumes the year,

Year opts for a decade,

Decade extends to a century.

Monotony sets in,

Old  turn stale,

Young feel bored,

No work takes the toll.

Smoky Fumes

Smokes leave a disenchantment,

Wherever they are found,

Whenever they surround,

However much they abound.

White fumes from the  burning red,

Emanates  from a large fire,

Engulfing the atmosphere,

Polluting  the ecosphere.

Black fumes from the exhaust ,

Signifies a deadly  pollutant,

Carbon and soot are the resultant,

Afflicting the stratosphere  in  fluent.

Hot fumes rise up the chimney,

While cold air sinks down,

Making the neighbours frown,

Also  they disturb Nature’s crown.

Light fumes from the cigar,

 Drawn into the mouth effortlessly

Puffing variant flavours wholesomely,

In every direction  effectively.

Mercy is twice blessed,

Blesses the one that gives,

And the one that takes,

Balancing the trades.

Smokes all  in general,

Cigars in particular,

Kill  one  who consumes,

And the one who inhales.

Stitch In Time Saves Nine.

Stitch across the torn piece of cloth,

Stitch over a tattered piece of heart,

To  save it from  deterioration   fast,

It is hard to restore the originality lost.

Stitch on time to  arrest the fault,

Stitch secure to prevent more tear,

Before the irrevocable  lands   bare,

Setting in motion an expensive fare.

Stitch crossly to enliven the charm,

With red roses and green leaves,

With yellow fruits on huge trees,

That dangle like  balls in the  cool breeze.

Stitch intricately  into the design,

With pink , blue and brown threads,

Giving a pleasant shade and blend,

Creating a sensational    trend.

Stitch in tact the broken heart,

With kindness and  compassion,

Aiding to unwind the  depression,

Carefully dealing with  the  oppression.

Stitch over a cloth prolongs its life,

Stitch over a heart proposes longevity fine,

Makes the  heat beat in rhythmic twine,

It is stitch in time saves nine.

I Have Been to London

Pussy cat, Pussy cat,Where have you been?

Oh! Where did the Pussy cat go? .

To London to see the queen,

 Well,what does this show?

Everyone wants to see  London,

As once  it ruled the world,

Now  its supremacy is undone,.

When its colonisation spree got curled.

Its history goes back to the millennium

Founded by the Romans as Londinium,

Traced  its roots to celtic  medium,

Research enforces a period beyond compendium.

Hailed as the largest global city,

Home to the headquarters of 100 of major financial companies,

Housing  Cambridge,Oxford and other great universities

Inhabited by all races who live in cohabited  ease.

Monarchy still commands respect,

Queen and Prince still exist,

Palaces and churches are attractive prospects,

Their grandeur is hard to resist.

William Shakespeare lies in Stratford-on-Avon,

A mortal whose fecundity  was his originality,

Who discerned  lively portrayals of the royal and common,

Decking  them with wordy jewels inciting an inebriety.

William Wordsworth  called nature his guide,

While Scott  in his novels  unravelled history,

Tennyson’s lyrics exalted in romantic pride,

Russell was an authority in analytic philosophy.

Sun never sets in the British Empire ,nearly a century ago,

Trading with countries in the east ,slowly became ruling,

Spices  gradually turned to proprietary impregnated with ego.

Traders assumed the role of governors  at perfect timings.

London swells  in pride and wealth over the centuries,

Treasures from the  Indian sub continent enriched the bourses,

Regaling in its prosperity the city   became a reverie.

Pushing back all the other competent forces.

It is everyman’s wish to see  the city,

As it holds an  exclusive attraction,

Both historically and commercially appears pretty,

Proposing  an expensive and lively distraction .

All Roads Lead to Rome.

All roads lead to Rome,

As it is a stately home,

Where culture blooms

While creativity zooms.

Civilization took its wings,

Christianity pitched its  rings

Architecture picked its strings.

Renaissance found its links.

Literature  abounds with Roman reference,

Epics and ballads sing  its praise with reverence,

Augustus and Julius  Ceasers   still command a  deference,

Michelangelo’s “Last Judgement “is a masterpiece  with a difference.

The portrait of Mona Lisa is beautifully enigmatic,,

The ambiguity in her smile is expressively subjective,

The monumentality of the composition exudes a subtlety,

The atmospheric illusionism refracts the  profound credibility.

Romans  are remarkable for   grand opulence,

Neoclassicism  induced an impressive influence,

Fountains, statues and columns incite an observance,

Villas and landscaped gardens  let out a lot of inference.

Music keeps flowing across the Tiber river,

Learning breathes through the lanes in fervour,

Drama and art reverberate  through the streets in ardour,

Sports ancient and modern keep  a systematic order.

In Rome be a Roman ,goes the saying,

Many of us nurture a craving,

To see the  antique city glowing,

In finery and artistic engravings.

.

Gliding Through The Malaysian Express Highway

It was a  fantastic journey across the Malaysian Express Highway ,

Speeding cars raced  through   was a spectacular sway,

The oil palms on either side  portrayed a  lovely fray,

A display of colourful  foliage   added joy to the travel in a splendid way,

The destination was miles and miles apart,

Felt  it would tire the physic to a distraught,

Hindered  by the resultant fatigue decided not to start,

But had to make it due to a compelling chart.

The fear that nagged the mind  bore no credential,

The long drive was  pleasant and highly potential,

A break from the monotony  is most essential,

The vibrancy experienced all over revived the existential.

The sojourn   along the greenery  was a feast to the eyes ,

The” rendez vous”   beside the “rehat”   was an intrinsic apprise,

The fun shared  and enjoyed  was a happy go jolly entice,

Sallying forth from home is a departure  that requires specific ties.

Three Dimensions -Allegory of Life.

The mysticism of life is three-dimensional.

The  initiative lies in the creative  diagonal,

Birth is the first phase of the  conventional,

Bringing in a new face  to the  existential.

Care takes the next degree  of  surveillance,

Where  protection assumes the prior defense ,

As nourishment competes to darn the role of  sustenance,

Money lobbies to  ease up the  required perfect balance.

Death treads in unaware to conclude the deal,

Targeting the vulnerable to a closing seal,

Winding up the performance to a shocking feel.

Finally shutting  the doors  with a sad  feel.

Those Few Moments.

Saw  movements behind my glass door,

They  were  a fast speeding move on the floor,

The haste looked like a fleeing soar,

Quick as a wink the disappearance  marked a  four.

Opening the door ajar found no trace,

Upset over the vanishing blaze,

Stood mute overseeing the magical glaze,

Deliberating whether it could be an imaginative maze.

Closed the door with great  care,

Turned slowly from the specific fare,

But came to a standstill   by a frightening stare,

Eyes peering and peeping across in an inquisitive glare.

Shattered by the phantasy  so near,

Shaken by the proximity of the sight   to tears,

Legs dwindling in  absolute fear,

Drove an implication of  a deadly casting on the rear.

The popping eyes across the glass,

Pronounced a dreary flash,

Passing frictions on the adrenaline  class,

While deducing a palpitation in a bash.

Blaming  woefully the cruel destiny,

Unbolted the door  praying simultaneously  to the almighty.

Raised the   eyelids in panic  but watched in relief happily

As the  three boys and their dog  trotted   in imperiously.

Akin To A Stone.

The hardness of a stone is due to its age,

The tenacity it derives  is an outrage,

The strength it develops is a leverage,

As it brings out a  stern courage.

The order of circumstances make up a man,

The soft childlike approach deviates its plan,

Affronted by the unexpected turns and bans,

Preparing a dashing attack  in a short span.

Water when chilled becomes  a solid white ice,

Eliminating the transparency to  opaque  size,

Decreasing the quantity to a thick density precise,

Proposing a glistening frozen entice.

Flexibility withdraws at the sight of unkindness,

Blown over by indiscriminate ideals and unfriendliness,

Turns morose  when it faces a stiff, flashy indifferent meanness,

Expressing a staunch , cold, discreet quietness.

The unjustified  attain supremacy by craft,

The insincere extend a power by draft,

Pushing  the greatness  behind the shaft,

Brushing aside the nobility to a naught.

The malleability changes to a rigidity unexpected,

The adaptability   construes to an adamancy undesired,

The righteousness converts itself to a rebellion  undetected,

Invoking an indignation and outbursts  unfathomed.

It is the callous dealings that frame a being,

Outward structure gets disfigured by ageing,

Inward spirit  feels desolate by grieving,

Enacting pretensions thaw and quell the inkling.

Ode On Odds

Facing difficulties with stoicism is rare,

The plunge into sadness in always there,

The obsession  destroys almost to a bare,

The overture of melancholy is beyond care,

Leaving a grievance almost unfair.

Majority makes the rule and reigns  the world,

The lesser the number  more distraction hold,

The fairer  the contention the more injustice folds,

The greater the tolerance the more attacks load,

Enumerating an experience almost unbearable to withhold.

Physical flaws make head way to a cross,

Limbs at default create a structure loss,

Senses at fault show no outward gloss,

Head without brain causes a faltering gross,

Initiating a significance almost unnerving to a toss.

Mental derangements  carry out a considerable  risky charge ,

Violent tempers dedicate a destructive barrage,

Anger ignites  a  shrivelling terror at large,

Vengeance provokes a hideous  abominable  discharge,

Recording a happening almost disastrous in  enlarge.

Oddities strike  with energised  haste and  venom,

They come in battalions  to thwart the stratum.,

Causing a definite  terrible pain of spasm,

Disintegrating the entities into a chasm,

Resorting to an inevitable devastation  awesome.
