Ode On Words

Eat up not your words

eat up your meals

go by your words

at the cost of any deal.

Words are meant to be kept

never in a way to be broken

the words that are kept

bring repute  as a token.

Honour your words at any cost

words are precious any way

easy to throw them out fast

hard to preserve them in a way.

Words are a religion as far as I know

a sanctity all the more

they are valuable  and shine with a glow

being a property  with a vow.

The Aberration

My back yard with trees huge

expressing  greenery all around

turned white in a deluge

a change different  and unsound.

With none of us at home that day

with appointments elsewhere

the builder next door in a way

dug a bore without any care.

The peat soil flew all over

clothing the lovely trees white

with the ground drenched by  a sand shower

Oh! it was a very ghastly sight.

With the white attire intact

the trees remained horrible

and with no rains in fact

they  were destined to be so in all possible.

The builder went about unbothered

many calls and warnings were left answered

Town planning rules being  not followed

perhaps  broken by bribes in silent  method.

The world thus moves on in mirth

where the law breakers find a way out

as their wrong doings go in stealth

the rightful stand to lose all throughout.chennai Speeding Enforcement Action Vs Violations

The Word.

Words do have meaning.

They possess feelings.

They issue commands.

They are never to be broken.

Word is the essence of talk.

It enhances the speech.

It adds to the charm

It lifts up the pride.

Words are not playthings.

None can play and push it apart.

None can  talk and ignore.

None can spell and forget.

Word catches up like fire.

It lasts longer than fire.

It hurts more than burns .

The resultant  wound never heals.

A word is a promise.

It has an idealistic value.

It has a classic significance.

Its claims are lofty and tall.

An irresponsible word destroys sobriety.

An irrational word hampers  harmony.

A harsh word dampens decorum.

A rude word  damages the cordiality.

Word needs a careful address.

It requires a soft semblance.

It  reflects one’s personality.

It speaks about one’s dignity.

Be careful  with your terms.

Be cautious with your speech.

Be polite in your talk.

Above all, be definite in your word.
