A Home Away From Home.


A home away from home

could become  a second home

never could the first

be replaced at the best.

 

Having to live in such a way

she spends part of her days

being at home for months few

at the second one in a due.

 

The homes throw warmth

one being bearable  and calm

the other  extends a swelter

hot and scorching rather.

 

Being blessed to live in countries hot

could it be a blessing or a curse in short

never in a place cool and pleasant

well, that is her  fortune in a sense.

 

 

Dual sims in mobiles they say

an easy catch in a way

similar be  not the dual   stay

neither here nor there in a way.

 

It was once exciting and  interesting

now has turned sour and disgusting

the bags are on the shoulders always

know not how to throw them out in  a way.

Learn to be like the earth  in activities

A Loud Mouthed Prophecy.


A prophecy could it be

being one in a verse  in the vernacular

be born as a washerwoman

if not you wash the clothes.

 

Baffled to hear this

she was amused for a while

got to know the meaning

being it a curse.

 

This not be the  one and only

many such verses followed

could be of a taste bad

made the receiver sad.

 

A comment on a fruit juice

jolted her to the core

that beggars do not drink

yet they are sleek and smooth.

 

What a correlation it was

she stood bewildered

the glass of fruit juice

stared at her harsh.

 

Many did come from the loud mouthed

laden with anger and envy

curse she did  her own son’s family

for reasons one knows not.

 

The one who was at the receiving end

was heart broken at the initial

became stoic  in the course

turned a deaf ear to such foul words.

 

How long could one brook such audacity ?

if it continues for years as seen in the case

one has to overthrow and walk over.

 

An inconsiderate and callous  talk it was

carried throughout the years

finally an aversion and a detest  blossomed

The Resolutions I Made.

I remember  my resolutions

they would have provided solutions

if only I  had followed  diligently

never did I inadvertently.

 

I wanted to score high

I did try

never could I cross a mark

but I received good remarks.

 

I wished to excel in fine arts

I prepared a chart

never could I make it big

but was able to stick.

 

I dreamt of becoming an entrepreneur

I could only turn a donor

never did I climb up the ladder

I am where I am rather.

 

I thought, I dreamt, I  wished

all comprised in my list

never did I  sail through

The colouring lasts not long

Grey, they say,  goes with wisdom

Black shiny hair is no longer yours

thin and frail now

Bemoan not your grey hair

glitters and glows

at the most unwanted age.

 

A tease  as one would find

a mock and a fun

The World’s Woe


A terror alert in India

neighbours turn foes

be not only in India

that be the world’s woe.

 

Imagine yourself as a human

take away the religion  and beliefs

you being a man

would  grant you great relief.

 

Imagine yourself to be a kind

look at the people around with love

be they of any race in a find

consider them as your kin and allow.

 

The spirit of love is wonderful

a kind word to the distressed

would make him  smile beautiful

try to mitigate his stress.

 

Need not spend millions  on projects

a word and a hand would do

a sure way to smother the  regret

that way you could go.

 

If all of us in the world think like

terrorism would run away

it would not be able to strike

as all of us jointly could push it away.

 

I am not a preacher as you could conclude

I am a human simple and soft

I fear terrorism and  all its include

A fearless mind

a fearing mind

a decision now or never

The Regret


The regret over an episode

could be any in the mode

one of a purchase in particular

brings out a desperation in a circular.

 

The anticipation almost dissolved

the frustration mounts up with a resolve

sell it off then and there coerces the mind

the vendor nowadays being hard to find.

 

The disappointment is expressed in ways

the one near being accused always

what was the fault of the one? being near

Going by the hypothesis as all do

it is better to push it off in the go

The Greenery


The lawn has turned sparse

could see patches in places

the grass looks dull and less

rains do destroy in cases.

 

It is how the gardener  explains

I could not  understand

the grass looks almost slain

the gardener insists on his stand.

 

The small lawn looks not good

it is a shame of its self rather

it had for long withstood

the vagaries of weather.

 

Would it regain its greenery?

it was such a beauty  once

worried I watch the  withered scenery

I have got the sky

I look at the sky

gaze be the word in a way.

 

Gazing is my way

all through the day

I see the blue sky

then the grey one in ways.

 

The blue one is clear

I hold it dear.

The grey one is unclear

I consider it a drear.

 

The dark sky brings rains

indirectly a gain

the blue sky sheds light

instantly a glorious sight.

 

They say the sky is overcast

would it last?

nay, it would remain so  for a while

then would resume its style.

 

Hundred more things the sky interprets

being a lovely diaspora

hundred more feels I could deliberate

the sky being my inspiration.
