Say they in my language
” arraitha maaveya arraithu”
it says in a way
doing the same thing all day
what most of us prefer
want not to refer
nor wish to risk
like to have everything free in a whisk
a safe play all over
not a bit lower
nor could anyone claim better
a piece in a platter
is worth more than the one yonder
a different thought in a ponder
finds no takers anymore
it is the old familiar faces all the more
ideas in a way parrot-like
the speeches and the games all alike
well that is the how the big shots want
it is possible as nothing is can’t

Born Out Of The Same Womb
Know a brother
who with all his defects
not very simple
but very complicated
has only some inherited money
not other qualities
worth mentioning
does a lot of back biting
and spreading rumours
with intentions bad
against his brother
who keeps away from him
not crosses him at any cost
aware of his brother’s shortcomings
The older one keeps on
doing these from childhood
while the younger sibling
puts up with him
for the very reason
he being the brother.
What a remarkable difference !
we find in the siblings
born out of the same womb.
It was an exchange,
Neither dealing with currency in a range.
Nor involving a
barter all the same.
It was an exchange,
Away from the economy in a range,
Far away from the mundane all the same.
It was an exchange.
Across the deep blue ocean in a range,
Covering thousands of kilometers all the same.
It was an exchange,
Where age did not come into the range,
Where affection stood above all the same.
It was an exchange ,
Where the grandson poured out his thoughts in a range,
Where the grandmother listened mesmerised all the same.
Then it is not an exchange,
You might blindly say in a range,
Yet it was sharing of feelings in a manner strange.
