The Harsh Weather.

It being a season of cold

being called as winter

with temperature falling below zero

and snow pouring in extra

there arises a stand still

with people not allowed to move

being not possible to go out

as the freezing cold is so penetrating

sending a biting chill and stinging kill

going into the chest and lungs harshly

causing a breathlessness terrible

and a suffocation untold greatly

a choke that creates a mild improvisation

that being the vagaries of weather

commanding a despondency and despair

funny it looks and sly it appears

with all the technology advancement

man could never compete with Nature

nor could he become immortal.

The thought of living

the thought of prolonging

the thought of extending

the thought of lengthening

the thought of propounding

the thought of stretching

after few decades say six

leads us to a delicate fix

where there could be many kicks

accompanied by too many pricks

walking with the help of the tsick

the mind goes out in a click’

and the memory in a flick

that should ensure a destination

there should be a full stop

there should be a peaceful sleep

that of a disappearance into the infinity

the right time to get away

the exact moment to pass .

Something Is Missing

A feeling of something missing

be it in life or performance

I really do not know

keeps me disturbed all the time

lending me a despair and disappointment

that I am unable to overcome

however much I try hard

and whatever much I do

Why such thoughts come to my mind?

Why am I so worked up all the time?

This makes me sad in a way

letting me in a precarious stay

stumbling through the way

with a sense of insecurity in the sway.

Withdrawing I go into a shell

just smiling to myself

might be the smile is because of

inability and inefficiency

that remains in me

never lets me go into the world

steeped in competition high and dry.

There stands a house
lonely on the road
with a sprawling garden
and a lively orchard
all set in a greenery
exhibiting a tone od prosperity
with a swing in the front
and a slide in the back
where children throng
going in a move full of joy
climbing up and down
enjoying a great thrill
the house looks majestic
with an authoritative command
along with the choicest demand
a magnificence all very lovely
presenting an amazing look
that be the house I cherish
I like to have and live
as it delivers peace and harmony
altogether in a stroke
that be a wish long in my mind
hoping to get it fulfilled in time

A Photographic Mind

A photographic mind

has a photo in mind

having everything in mind

the details and features

all stored in the mind

need nothing else to record

be it the mind in accord

that brings in memories in a rush

with the slide show very interesting

as the slides come one by one

describing the nuances with specifics

well ,that be the cause of the mind

with a photography very sharp

calling it a fine memory

and a cruel one too

having not forgotten any strain

all being accumulated very fine

and acquired in course of time

brought in then and there

well, it is that all

craving to be a final conclusion.

The Fall And Rise.

The breaking of stones
with an intermittent pause
gets me on the run
rushing to seek the going on
where the rubbles fall
one by one from a house
which had stood for long
seeing through generations
passing through the network
with children on the go
playing round the corner
the folk enduring all the debacles
enjoying all the miracles
a go up and a go down
with the inhabitants on the round
now is on the verge of crumbling
with the top floor almost down
the rest shattered to the ground
with that the history of a family
gets lost in the debris
it is only stones and mortars
they have no feelings and no tidings feel so.
To me, they echo the voice of the generations
having heard them day in and day out
every stone knows the fears and tears
every brick understood the mirth and joy
Well, the fall prescribes a changed alibi
with many apartments rising high
bringing in more families into the area
so much so the life goes in the course.

Year after year
there be a great tear
setting in for a gear
something in the rear
going without fear
closing the eyes in sheer
opening out when it is near
there happens to be no jeer
as everyone peers
the days dawns brightly queer
shedding of its lag and wear
with revelry on the first day of the year
