The Gift Of The Colonial rule.


Harping on this particular day

I am almost  in the center of the play

as the trend all the way

calls for a celebration  in the sway

I, unable to get along in the fray

pull back from the gay

that goes along with the day

which was not found  before in my country

but came into force with the British

coming into my land with a wish

and an intention to do trade

they did great transactions

took control of the land in course

left after much effort and struggle

by my countrymen and leaders

with a bag full of riches

a plunder so  to say

leaving behind a practice

alien to this ancient  country

that being an expression of  joy

with a pomp and splendour

not known to my  people

who  lived an austere life

adhering to  rituals and rites

chanting mantras and slokas

a tradition going beyond the ages

now getting decimated by unwanted extremes

The Day Breaks


The day breaks  with sounds great

 crackers add to the cheer

 flying up in the sky

 making a blast and a noise huge

heralding a brand New Year.

 

The year is  supposed to bring

innumerable joy and thrive

proposing a prosperity and drive

that be the expectations of all

as hope is the thing that makes up all.

 

Expecting so much from the download (18)new-born

stretching  too much from the nascent

being a great strain to the little one

yet  we get in the stream

enforcing  much part of our dream.

 

The year is another leaf

a new shoot from an old tree

performing as its predecessors

nothing more and nothing less

a simple equation indeed.

 

Taking that much in consideration

anticipating nothing more in suggestions

a plain acceptance of  this day as normal

helps us play a safe game

that of caution and restraint.

Birds Flock Together


Birds fly together
from hither to thither
rustling their  lovely feathers
on pursuit of a  lively gather
they go about  searching rather
taking  flight   a little slower
gaining in height  much faster
rounding in the skies images (52)longer
descending much later
eyeing the bait down nether
devouring them in  leisure
fly to a place farther
hunting for a prey greater
soaring up further
returning  an hour after
where their young ones   eager
wait for their fly back altogether
expecting  a wholesome dinner.

A Man Brave


Brave he be 

sporting a lively glee

causing the hearts to flutter

keeping the mind clear

he goes about with cheer

having at all  no fear

as he has done nothing wrong

that of great deeds and valour

making him grow taller

the eyes of the people around

rise up to him for any sound

hoping that he would salvage

the down trodden being so for ages

caring for them with love

gesturing a pleasing bow

as they come to him

seeking help with a   feel grim

that gets dispelled in no time

as he responds to them expecting no dime

Good he be  all through

it is hard to believe that it is true

he being a man brave

expressing a tenderness grave

that goes with liveliness and intensity

extending a warm glow in density.

The Smile Of The Flower.


A flower smiles 
 is it for you too ?
Not so much in the line
 with a glossy fine
 its petals expressing a greet
 while its colour giving a treat
 that be the greatest clue
 for me to find it true
 that flower smiles at me
 whenever I see with glee
 might be a reflection 
 as I see a deflection
  a degree almost 360 
going by a luminosity 
 that a smile could bring
 beating the illuminations  in a swing
 enhancing the soul to a brim
 dispelling the total grim
next time you see a flower
 try to capture her smily flavour
 Well, she smiles forever
 as long as she be in a blossom
 enchantingly the flower is awesome.

The divine be there always
say  many with faith in all ways
be it divine  or sublime
I know not  in a time
with that staunch belief in mind
I go about in my find
tracing the truth in-depth
tracking the goal in length
be it what it may in a sense

with that my life moves on
considering the plausibility on and on.

as al would turn grey

wishing in  a quick  lay

things that may

predicting a  fall in hay

with that came in a sway

a fall and a wrap in clay

that became the end of the day.

Curiosity


The curious he be 

he going in and out

wanting to know

what it was all about

that which does not concern him

no way he be involved

yet wants to know all the things

that be his way all through

poking his nose into the issues

that  crosses not him

or that never entangles him

he gets into every detail

asking why and how now and then

posing what every time

wanting to know more and more

that be his curiosity all these days

going with the idiom most popular

curiosity kills the cat always

Sustainable Environment.


A small area out there

fertile and cultivable  mostly

yielding grains in tonnes

lying there for long near the city

not penetrated by expansion

not touched by pollution

a calm bed of paddy fields

slowly becoming vulnerable

with the city going further

would in no time become a site

as people call it over here

where buildings concrete would rise up

implying a vanish  of the magical greenery

and the destruction of productivity

paying off the owner with a revenue in millions

while he reaped grains worth thousands

this being a bonanza great

lucrative to the individual

but a loss grave  to the society at large

where there  be no greenery any more

The Mother And The Girl


A little girl cries over there

wanting not to eat   more

with the mother showering  utmost care

the girl  cries hard all the more.

 

The girl as I know

never makes fuss all the way

a child of great attitude is how

I describe her through the day.

 

The mother shoves the food

a whole mouthful

while the girl gobbles for good

later spitting the full.

 

Seeing  the mother gets on her

pulling her  soft hair

shouts  angrily at her

which looks not fair.

 

I intend to go in between

the girl being my granddaughter

but 664-02225982 restrain myself with a keen

as it would give rise to indignation after.

 

Not able to commit myself

I move away in disgust

feeling sorry for the little self

unwilling to get into the bust.
