Honourable Thou Art.

She has reached the threshold of fame.

She is a lady with a name.

Everyone, for sure, has a name.

Her personality gives  a shot to the name.

She has an air of splendour.

She extends an affable render.

She  is elegant and slender.

She exhibits a graceful tender.

She is a recipient of the highest honour.

Awards and prizes come to her  from all corners.

She remains the most spectacular donor.

She distributes. all her prize money to the loners.

Her philanthropy  adds to her glamour.

She commands a spontaneous reverence.

Her charisma delivers an effervescence.

Her bent of mind  marks a noble reference.

Her style calls for a valid  observance.

No wonder, she is  a lady of brilliance.

The Story of a Family.

It was only  few years back,

The  family’s going was good ,

The pride was  extremely high,

The cheer was delightfully great,

Naturally, its arrogance was exorbitant.

The family made  a loud show off,

A gross vanity was  directly found,

A rudeness was  always practised,

A  total disrespect to all was shown,

Its  impudence was  absolutely unbearable.

Today the scenario has changed,

The progress has been stalled by their insincerity,

Their prosperity has eroded considerably,

Their  prestige has been lost effectively

Still they have not  realised the reality.

It is a pity to see the family ,

Facing a loss of enormous wealth

Seeing its vast properties auctioned,

Experiencing an untold misery and shame,

Still unable to accept the fault which they committed.

Examining the plight of the family straight,

Traced the folly of the person at the helm,

It was an unmindful expansion all through,

Neatly setting aside a sizeable portion for him,

Landing the business in an unprecedented  debacle.

The team of husband and wife strove hard,

Built an empire by thoughtful moves,

Engaged themselves in philanthropic activities,

Handed everything to one son by love or ploy ,

Saw the whole thing crash like a pack of cards.

Favouring a  part of their  own family most,

Shelling out a  fruitful fraction to the other part,

Taking away mercilessly what was given from one child,

Making her languish in disappointment and tears,

Caused the family to suffer immensely.

The Philosophy of Philanthropy-Part 3

Philanthropy is a word,

That makes a bard ,

Sing its praise on board,

In  a  rhythmic  record

Philanthropy is  a connotation,

That points to a deliberation,

Of grand distribution,

Of wealth and  participation.

Philanthropy is  plain give,

It is a  pretty live,

Of cheer and  festive,

Translating an act extensive.

Give needs no advertising,

It is a voluntary inkling,

That occurs without thinking,

As an instinct initiating.

It seems so simple and easy

It looks so  light and ordinary,

It happens in speed and regularity,

It is an age-old quality.

Now it has  acquired a billionaire’s status,

As it is dressed up in eye-catching gorgeous

Made gigantic and big by pompous,

But the little thought still remains gracious.

The Philosophy Of Philanthropy—Part Two

Give out half your wealth to  charity

Call the billionaires,

Give out the money to the needy,

Cry the referrers.

Give out large heartedly ,

Announce the care takers

Give out  happily.

Appeal the servers,

Setting  the tone of philanthropy.

Money is one way to show  concern to the oppressed ,

As most think

Mind you  money is not the only way to discern the  hard pressed ,

As most feel

There are  many more ways to  look  at   depressed ,

That most   do not  realise,

Leading to a mix up of the  addressed ,

To a subsequent delineation.

Billionaires can  establish  foundations,

Like Buffett and Bill  Gates do,

Most others can  opt for a creation,

Like Mother Theresa and Ramakrishna did,

The haves by their  funds work out a sensation,

By displaying an abundance of money

The have-nots  with their love etch out a penetration.

By exhibiting an immeasurable   care.

The Philosophy Of Philanthropy

Give what you  can,

By  keeping a little for you,

Help as much as you can,

Till it satisfies  you,

Extend  solace to all you can,

Until it tires you.

Billions are not the  only  conform,

Millions are not all that show,

That take up  a charity  form ,

Presenting  in a row,

A series of transform,

That call for a grow.

Give half of your wealth,

Say the billionaires,

Before your death,

To the needy affairs,

Which  sounds to be good health,

But echoes an extraordinaire.

Wealth is not behind,

The activity  of philanthropy,

Thought is the find,

Of  this noble philosophy,

Which remains a  bind,

In the material  world’s catastrophe.
