Great in name

great in fame

great in wealth

great in stealth

the man of repute

commits in depute

frauds and malpractices

has been the practice

not of him alone

of his family in tone

boast of their status

they being traitors

not the ones who let the country

sharing the secrets to the entries

who hoard and who deceive

the banks and receive

millions and billions

why not even trillions

cheat the depositors untiringly

swindle their money unmindfully

walk around with dignity

after selling the integrity

such men should be shot

their money has to be got

leaving them free

would be risky in the spree

catch them at action

wait for no reaction

possibly money could butt in

throw punishment to the bin

they would imperiously tread

as men of substance and well read.

greedy ignorant. Poetry Wish

Am I Too Greedy.

In a dilemma almost
being the idea foremost
the way to publish
and to establish
my status as a poet.

I know not where I am
ignorant of my poems’ reach
innocent of how people find it
I keep writing every day
with the hope of seeing the light.

I do not wish to self-publish
as I feel it is not credible
being blowing one’s own trumpet
I would be more than grateful
if any one extends an offer..

Is my wish too greedy?
Would I ever see my poems in a book/
Are they worthy to be printed?
goes on my mind with so many deliberations
Will I? will I? my heart cries.

The Coins.

One a penny two a penny

hot cross bun goes by the rhyme

comes to my mind now in chime

when pennies had a time

with that we could buy buns

as well as could have fun

now pennies are pennies alone

with them we could purchase none

as they are just coins without value

having made of metal of value

just keeping them as memoirs

as they would have a great repertoire

as those who collect coins as a hobby

would get it for any cost without a lobby

that way goes the coins all along

while they had a history of long.

There being an entertainment

with dance and dinner

with song and drama

all in a frenzied mood

with a chatter and a clatter

the people in gay mood

with smiles all over

dressed in their finery

the ladies with extra care

touch ups here and there

painted heavily with make ups

lipstick, nail polish and mascara

wearing heavy expensive jewellery

while the men in their best suits

freshly shaven with lotions on

smelling with aroma from flowers

the food displayed sumptuously

courting many to their delight

a plain menu on the first

added with cuisines from east and west

they too being garnished great

colorfully deigned and on ornate plates

with the waiters standing in attention

all throwing out an extravaganza

while I see four little eyes

peeping through the hedges

eagerly savouring the dishes

they being not allowed inside

nor permitted to touch

as they belong to a genre

much lower than the participants

not because of their birth

bu t due to their financial status

being poor and needy

that being no fault of theirs.

The Pride of Lineage

Talking of pedigree
takes to times long
where there was lot of degree
in the strata of belong.

Pedigree demonstrates a purity
The long ancestral background
gives a lot of dignity
and pride to those of us around.

The lineage should come down fine
It allows no mixture of trends.
Meaning that they have a great shine
over their beautiful ancestry with no offence.
.

Lineage holds a great status in society
Men feel proud of their ancestry
So do the horses and animals
whose pedigree is checked before buying.

The say of pedigree is great
It tells of the family and its merits
as also an allusion to the value of date
for which the family owes its credits.

Seen many being obsessed with pedigree
They trace the involvements with decor
They talk of the family history in glee
and dwell in utmost pride that always recurs.t
