Writing A Diary

Writing a diary

has never been my practice

as such recording the events

chronologically with own views

gets me on the nerves

as I feel incidents that happen

if vital would get registered firmly in the mind

and if not serious enough

would diffuse and get forgotten

that being my attitude

I tried once and the lat

writing the days happenings

but could not go further

as my hand did not move

knowing fully well

that my mind is not for it

being half way through

it refused to move

with that I closed my diary

and then never thought of writing any more.

Premonitions.

The acceleration of the swings

that be from one end to other

with the westerlies picking up force

the rains playing truant all the while

perceiving a big violence all over

with the trees going to and fro

as if in their speed the roots would come up

that being a situation alarming

the land seemed to shake with a shiver

where everything else looks imbalanced

the cries of animals go unheard

as they say the animals know

and predict the vagaries of weather

man in his closeted privacy

does not pay heed to the sounds of these animals

who get a premonition

that something distraught is on the way.

The Sound Of Silence.

I could hear no noise

it is damn still

silence is itself a sound

that has no voice

but imposes a terrible feel

it also lends out a great deal

a scenario of tenseness

where there arises a fear

that of being with no one

sometimes it is very inviting

most times it takes us away

creating an awe and scare

awesome it is to be in silence

might be for a temperate

on the long run it is not entertained

as silence and darkness

get going with hand altogether

the plausibility of being alive

has to be equated with life

the breathing has to be juxtaposed

the nerves and veins have to have a let out

for that we need company

not that of human entirely

but that of sound mostly

not jarring but pleasant

that be of music pleasing

that be of talk enlightening

that be of a cackle enlivening

that be of a chuckle invigorating

a company of like mindedness

would become a gracious treasure.

The Stagnation

There goes a crane

which stands on the lane

seems to be a bane

as the traffic is held up

with the engines in the start-up

grunting in a low sound tup lup ,tup lup

the crane seems not to move even a little

as its parts have become worn out and brittle

the passers-by do not want to settle

there for a long time stuck up in the traffic

they try to find means to move out of the peak

could not trace any little way in the freak

they get impatient and start to mumble

pulling their face long and they start to grumble

well, to their good fortune the crane started in a fumble

pushing out lot of fumes and froth all very dark

then gave a jerk and went ahead with a bark

there came an end to the temporary stagnation in the track.

There be a slight confusion
over a matter simple and raw
there need be no distraction
as it appears there is no flaw
yet there arose a protest
claiming to be agnostic
that does not require any test
but brought with it a direction hypnotic
condemning the doers to a punishment
comparing the event to an irrelevant episode
wherein lay a junk of derailment
that erased the whole thing without a code.

The Dog

A dog limped its way

dragging its hurt leg

none took notice of the poor one

as it went all the way limping

Where is it going to go?stared I at the dog

None to give good

and none be willing to do so

I, being afraid of dogs

could do no better

than offer a morsel of bread

that too from a distance .

The fear for dogs

has been in me right from young

as even now I am unable to get over it

it is only for the dogs I nurture fear

with other animals I go about easy.

Living On A Tree

Living on a tree
looking from high
see the world down
with men going up and down
know not where they go
as there is always a thoroughfare
I see with awe
at the frenzy with which they walk
as is someone is behind them
chasing them with a stick
their face all seemingly worried
thinking of something that they have missed
I see all these from a height
feeling much for the human
who have lost all happiness
pursuing the mundane

Thinking Long.

Thinking about a thing

all the time without break

leads to an obsession

signalling a negativism

inducing an apprehension

that might bring in an uneasiness

causing a flutter all the way

unable to take a decision

that would stifle progress

.Leaving it like that for sometime

would bring in a conclusion

and with that we go high

reaping benefits all the more.

Allowing it to too much discussion

would defeat the purpose

thwarting the project.

The Tree

There is a tree yonder
as all trees it is huge
with branches spreading over
standing there for long
withstanding the wind
going cordial with the sun that screams though
with such a harsh note as burning
it still maintains peace all through
having been there for a century
near a bridge that has been built recent
where thousands of people pass through
generations nearly three have seen the tree
being a delight not only to see
but a place where one can find shelter
the tree has served with happiness
seen many politicians who speak lies
promising good government to the people
but could vouchsafe if it is able to speak
that none have kept up their words so far
the tree stands as a mute witness to all the atrocities around .
It still stands stoic facing all the mishaps .
Long live the tree for many more years from now.
