a nice ending to the sale
a pleasant-looking dale
a fierce harrowing gale
a clever capable male
all become very pale
when confronted by a whale
not the real whale
but that circumstantial terrific 
Talking about a Great Man
years after his death
vouchsafed well for the man
remember his glorious life
is not full of roses blooming
as thorns many are found in a plant
that gives out flowers in abundance
Well talking long and short
alone will not go great in terms
as it was not his way of living
he demanding a performance best
and creditable befitting his credentials.
None think about it in real significance
but go on making merry by talking
conducting meets and get together
bringing out nothing in the end
just a meet and a forget
along comes in quick succession
the next meet and go ahead.
The King is coming came the announcement
All stood in attention saying “Long Live The KIng”
The Judge is coming came another one
All bowed to him obediently
The military General is coming came yet another
All saluted him stiffly.
I came next without any announcement
none took notice of me,
They being all men like me deigned in different robes
go with such honour
While I being a man like them in ordinary attire
go with no such paraphernalia.
Not so all men are equal in the eyes of all.
If my heart lets me in
it is my mind that lets me out
so letting in and letting out
has been with me all throughout
never in all the most
never out at the most.
An intermediate between in and out
Well that has been ny life all out
with no significance tantamount.
Sitting in my parlour
with a book in hand
seeing through the window
at the lovely hedges and grass
dozed of to a deep slumber.
A little while after in an hour
woke up suddenly in a reverie
felt someone is peeping through the window.
gathering myself up rushed towards in a falter.
Finding nothing different reclined once again
Yet again the feeling came
and becoming upset and jittery
resuming calm stood motionless for a second.
A minute after saw a tuft shrub making moves
with the strong wind that blew over
Well, it was the shrub which had peeped in
during its forward move causing me to hang over.
The bragging old muff
was talking all bluff
in a situation tough
with behaviour rough
interrupted by cough
with voice gruff
heaving with a puff
he being with no stuff
created an unpleasant buff
making everyone deaf.
The sky gets dark in the afternoon
with the clouds gathering in one fold
It is still and cool with no winds
all signalling a bountiful rain.
Lo! nothing happened as it remained so
pleasant and chill, delightful and delicious.
Like men rains do dodge too.
The philosophy of life changes
with the people going ahead
in science and technology
adapting themselves to web-based life
as anything and any other thing
comes to them on the screen
browsing, searching, linking
all in minutes and seconds
very much different from the world
a decade back with posts and telegrams
taking their sweet time to get across.
With the innovations men like to align
with the fast tracking and dashing lifestyle
letting down the lethargic thoughts of deliberations
and discussions all long winding and tedious.
A new conceptual deliverance has come to live
with the tidings crucial and gorgeous.
Occasions need to be discriminated
as public and private and intermediate
that which goes with a grandeur
on events as small as birthdays
take us to an out of proportion element
whereas an incident of honour by an award
granted for stupendous services
and for contributions to art and science
go unrecognised and unknown at larger levels.
The recipients of these honours meritorious
would shun such publicity goes without saying
but the desire to celebrate a birthday
an anniversary, sweet sixteen
all take us to a typical distraction
Well, that might be an individual’s wish
but could be done with less expense
while
moderation could be settled in for.
With the intangible around
we are groping for it long
making efforts to grasp it
but it eludes much try
lapsing from the catch
flies high up sometimes coming near
yet when we are about to reach it
it goes with the wind to the skies
far into the eternity never to be seized at all
never to be got at all
never to be enjoyed at all.
yet we go on striving for the unattainable
losing our days and hours
destroying ourselves in the vanity
showing our love and ambition for the unreachable.
