I wrote a poem very simple
about the revenue and its source
could, not a cause a ripple
it turned an unexpected resource
mayhem broke loose extensively
words flew in a rage intensely
a note of genuine appreciation
brought in uncalled depreciation
one not able to accept another’s prowess
cried foul with venom in excess
unwanted remarks came from the one
who fumed and frothed in tons
I stood aghast for a while
well, that is not my style
put an end to this ugly controversy
warned her of the consequence
declared my objection in a sense
hope it would put an end to the debate
otherwise, I should demand a rebate.
