It is Mother’s Day
a day which I never knew.
In our days all days
revolved round the mother
no special day for her
we were part of her
she taught us all
expected nothing from us in return
we did also never gave anything to her
the days were marked by love
affection was the main feature
while discipline and control got in stealthily
there was perfect equilibrium all through
that being so in a way
there was no time to celebrate Mother’s Day
Mothers were always there
if
only we forget them
we should try to remember them
we never forgot their presence
so we never wished her on a particular day,

A Rarity Among The Disarray
A little away from the garden
a hill so small is there
trees in full bloom
greenery all around.
The garden is so lovely
picturesque with lush green lawn
flower beds on either side
colourfully designed
In the middle there is a pool
filled with water crystal clear
an ambience of beauty all over
neatly crafted around an aesthetic setting.
The house adds to the charm
corridors run all around
the doors open out to a courtyard
and the windows thrown open to the garden.
The people are wonderful
benign and graceful to the word
ho
spitality is their by word
they are beautiful beings in the world.
Not such scenario is seen elsewhere
this is an evangelical display
all in accordance to the tune
a rarity amongst the disarray.
A Straight Game.
it is a straight game
that too in a name
where a woman has acquired fame
who is in nature very tame
but has knowledge great
that too in a rate
proportionate to a hate
which men nurture against her fully
envious of her wisdom entirely
do not wish to see her succeed mostly
as they feel they are superior
and the woman are inferior
a thought in the mind’s anterior
though not shown in the posterior.
It is Unknown
it is one
It must be the other
It is unknown.
It is this .
It is due to that.
It is unknown.
It is because.
It is due to cause.
It is unknown.
It is hence
It is due to trends.
It is unknown.
It is so.
It is due to foe.
It is unknown.
It is possible
It is due to plausible.
It is unknown.
That is prone
That is due to tone.
It is unknown.
Appearances
A woman,
traditionally attired
with a six yard saree around
along with a neatly tied up hair
wearing a high-necked choli
and a bindi on her forehead
walked into a discussion
where there were people
clad in jeans and T-shirts
with flowing hair
faces with touch up
while the eyes looked remarkable
with eyeliner and brows
trimmed and made to look like arc
the feminism seen in two different ways
the one totally traditional
the other entirely modern
while the stylish folk
spoke eloquently
the woman sat glum
listening with rapt attention
which made the others feel
she was ignorant and unlearned
as her turn came by
she rose up with a grace
started her harangue in a stroll
punctuated with anecdotes and inputs
that were informative and focused
the fellow participants were stunned
and gave a standing ovation.
so goes the saying
appearances are deceptive.
Birds, Rain, Water.
The birds are up with vigour
after a gap of half a year
happy to see them make noise
chirp they do with delightful choice
chatter they engage with cheer
The call of the black bird invigorates.
The crow’s caw sends an alert.
while the cock’s cockle doodle do
wakes up the people to the morning glow
with that the world has set its stage.
The birds are messengers in a way
they epitomize the growth straightaway
with the spread of seeds all through
cross the pollination in their flew.
as they fly all around with mirth and joy.
The cause of their arrival all in a sudden
should be a reason to revel with no burden
it is the rains that be the reason
that which poured without any treason
released a wonderful scenario in ebullience.
Water is the life-giver in true
sense.
It is a provider of all prosperity in trend.
Without it the world could not pull on
A scarcity would end up in a doom.
Well, that should never be allowed all through.
Dissecting
Take away the adjective
it sounds too wordy.
Take away the gerund
it makes it continuous
Take away the article
it looks very sedentary.
Take away the thought
it does not cope well.
Take away all the matter
they give a different texture .
All that is taken away by the poet
only the poem is not found
this in short is a workshop
that destroys the originality
very greatly they call
for thick-skinned people
with that the skin is torn and left bare
the poem is nowhere to be seen
repairs done without any retrieve.
Quite Unusual
Unusual rains at unusual seasons.
Unusual cold at unusual seasons.
Unusual heat at unusual seas
Unusual storm at unusual seasons.
Unusual tells us that unusual experiences
would flood releasing an unusual predicament.
All are signs of the global warming.
As every other thing looks for change
nature tells us it is no exception.
A Confluence
A confluence of a kind
be it a lively bind
needs a courtesy at the base
that of an understanding in the trace
where there should be participation full
not circumscribed to the distinctive pull
those of the few who have a say
take the reins in an easy play
a sort of dictatorial evidence on the move
an interaction of the anointed with the prove
the rest look like a subordinate sect
a few families repeatedly conduct with a tact
a sort of elimination done subtle
a hurt inflicted on the target focused
yet a clever silence is maintained
a deceive done with an aim preordained,
