Rains go ahead
wait for none
seem to pour
day and night
the ground soaks
wherever you turn
you find water
a ghastly sight
as it leaps up
first to your ankles
goes up to your knees
rises up to your neck
finally the whole of you
could not be found
you go under water
rain pours undisturbed
the lakes and reservoirs breach
it is more water all the way
water, water, everywhere
no drop to drink.
it is a bit tiring
could I say boring
with no work to do
none requires urgency
work is done automatically
I turn lethargic all the way
read and relax all the day
write and rejoice all through
musical my life has become
I hear all pleasant notes around
nothing much I have to do
as to keep my door ajar.

f the day is bright
we feel right
if the day is dreary
we feel weary
if the day is clear
we have no fear
if the day is dull
we feel not full
well, be the day
controls us in a way
day being dictated by Nature
Oh! Nature has such a stature.
The animals behave strange
the birds move about in strange
the men behave not strange
those that act different
know the day would be different
a feel of difference
a premonition in the course
they know as they live in close
sail with nature’s course
smell the intensity of the variance
understand the nuances of the deviance
safeguard themselves from the disturbance
a practice man has forgotten in his day to day
he is engrossed in his routine of day to day
neglects nature and goes about in his own way
suffers and succumbs to Nature’s fury all the days.
I am in the midst of a crowd
where all speak loud
I talk not very much
a silent spectator as such
I feel fish out of water
I am my mother’s daughter
she spoke not much in her days
only few words was her way
she was at ease with a very few
my father called them in queue
nothing could change her till the end

Natural disasters keep us at bay
the onslaughts strike us unaware
they do come one after one in a day
leave us shocked and almost bare
the floods carries both coveted and ordinary
the fire destroys all into cinders in no time
the storm rages with a speed extraordinary
everything happens so sudden without a chime
have to believe that insurgence causes disaster incredible
only other to understand 
that impermanence is inevitable
The world peace is at jeopardy
man shoots not tardy
kills one here and two there
a host of people yonder
a hundred almost here
east, west, south and north
bear the heat of the hearth
a state of art is killing
who is at the back of the billing?
a question to answer in earnest
who could be the target?
another one faces us all cold.
being away from the human race
could be a startling phase with a withdrawal
becomes a reward in itself without a chase
as humans lack the spirit and soul of humanity.
