The Same Way Again

Say they in my language
” arraitha maaveya arraithu”
it says in a way
doing the same thing all day
what most of us prefer
want not to refer
nor wish to risk
like to have everything free in a whisk
a safe play all over
not a bit lower
nor could anyone claim better
a piece in a platter
is worth more than the one yonder
a different thought in a ponder
finds no takers anymore
it is the old familiar faces all the more
ideas in a way parrot-like
the speeches and the games all alike
well that is the how the big shots want
it is possible as nothing is can’t

I sniff and smell all the way
could not trace its origin in a way
I peep and peek through the window
could get no clue from the flow
I open the door wide ajar
yet unable to locate the scar
scar, you might knit you brow
it is to me a bruise to Nature in score
a sandalwood tree could be cut
the smell of sandal permeates
a hurt to the tree so far
the gain to man without a bar
a scar to nature in all.

The Rich Man

It is fun to hear
that happened so near
I being ignorant
could be innocent
knew nothing of the deal
gave me a strange feel
a man who boasts of his richness
has gradually dilutes to a nothingness
sells his properties everywhere
says he makes money with care
not so, it seems in real
he is in trouble I feel
has sacked his staff for no reason
they have not committed any treason
sold his car all of a sudden
tells everyone it is a burden
still speaks as if he his very rich
it is apparently a glitch
not so well off in terms anymore
what remains is a bare minimum in a score.

The Rains In My Town

it is the rains
the much-awaited signs
come with a reign supreme
it has been my dream
to see the rains for long
nature has thwarted my song
I jumped and sang in my younger days
when I saw the rain I became gay
now I hold my breath and stare
at the rains with a feigned dare
The droplets gather slowly
in an increased speed rapidly
come down with a force
a beautiful sight to behold in the course
the rains come not alone
bring along its friends known
thunder and lightning accompany
the blast and a tumult comply
along with a flash and brightness
the rains fall thud, thud, in a resonance
a fantasy for me to espy
like to run into the rains and cry
the rains would fall on my head
drop through my nose ahead
my tongue would swap the water in quick
Oh! I would like to play and kick.

New Delhi.

Seen not many places
seen a few of them
that be the important cities
seen not my own capital city
been born and lived so long
that be New Delhi
a beautiful city they say
thrives with a population
lies on a beautiful layout
has many architectural wonders
along a wide sprawling gardens
the city turns misty in the winter
becomes cold during the season
transforms into a hot dusty city
being so in summer
the mercury rises abnormally
a most controversial city
different in appearance
so much apart from the other capitals
yet it breathes life incessantly
never it sleeps to wake.

Coming back home
I feel so happy
this site being my home

I am more active here
live with my poems
talk while I write
sing while I think
smile while I decipher
cry when nothing comes to my mind
Well, here I live a life
with a meaning all through
my friends peep in at times
with remarks and likes
I say a hell to them
all done in my mind
Well, it is the mind that makes
a hell of heaven
and a heaven of hell
and I make it both
with my temper and behave
well, that is life
the good and the bad together.

Thick Skin

I like to be criticized.
it is criticism all the way
that has allowed me to stay
could be from a learned on
that gave me a footing in tone
could be from an illiterate person
extended a humiliation for no reason.

People find joy in hurting others
they talk softly with a touch of a feather
inflict a strong hurt in their course
their remarks come with a force
unable in a way to accept
they never at any cost regret
cause a turbulence in the mind of the receiver.

This is not new to me at any time
criticism is the second of my being
always had been at the receiving end
never do I attach importance to this trend
as a child and as an adult
now as a senior, the scorn in fact
has no impact on my thick skin.

Speeding And Stealing.

Speeding car drivers are penalised
speeding thieves are not
Overspeed is a fault
Crash open the bolt
steal and kill
are they not faults?
this is what came to my mind
as I saw the news reports
which tells in detail about
the penalties and punishment
for the car drivers could be an arrest
or a heavy penalty at the worst
could be also extended to burglary as well.
