Getting Stabbed

Get stabbed on the back
has been from time long back
right from Brutus to the modern politician
there seems a lot not in deviation
that being a stabbing consciously
very much not in front but n back vehemently.

Be not in politics alone I say
it being found in families in a way
with one holding fort and proposing strength
the other getting over and distracting the strength
demoralise the one who stood all the time
being hoodwinked and let down in no time.

As traditions go there has to be a tolerance in families
where nothing could be hastily executed in release
as in mind there are the children and the reputation
that has to be given priority in the primary session
with that the precipitation of breaking off gets delayed
and the hurt continues to lurk and linger in the family trade.

Write said my mother
when I was young
did I for my mother
with thoughts strung.

Write said my teacher
when I was in school
write did I for my teacher
with fear full.

Write said my Professor
when I was doing research
write did I for my Professor
with earnest search.

Write not now said my family
when I entered the wedlock
write not I for my family
with everything locked.

Write did I forget for my children
as I carried and raised them strong
write not I for my children
with a yearning long.

Write now bids my mind
as now I am free and released
write now for my mind
with a vigour unleashed.

Talking over The Week end

Talking to my children over the week ends

has been my routine for years together

I talk to them without an end

not knowing what way to end altogether

but keeping awake all of us for hours

as one lives in the north in a time zone

whilst the other in the south with another time ever

with the variations of morning and evening alone

the last one living in the middle almost same time as mine

as both of us live around the tropics in tone

we go on talking apart from the time with shine

away from the time, beyond the time in glue

with a giggle and a chuckle all through

with tears and a weep while coming to a close

brushing aside the tears that trickle down true

hanging up with the anticipation of resuming in the next week-end

our life has been going about with talking and seeing over the net

very much assuaging and comforting to a great extent in a trend

though not as reckoning of the physical touch and proximity

that had been denied to us by living miles apart in frequency.

The Day Out

Day in and day out
go the years out
with the decided fall out
where men go out
searching for a living out and out
while children venture out
wanting to learn in and out
where the sun comes out
filling the world with light throughout
and naturally it goes out
plunging the world in darkness out and out
the rain failing in a time out
causing a famine and drought
with the wind blowing fiercely in a rage out
destroying the environment in a fall out
the fire with a fury breaks out
ranging across causing a rout
with that the day comes to an ending all stout

where nothing lies firm and decided in a knock out.

A Syndrome

A syndrome peculiar has set in
which calls for a check in
seemingly little away from the normal
but very much informal
as it is a revelation to me now
but it is a course not abnormal anyhow
that of a withdrawal from the children
as their life now centers around a den
comprising of their family a nucleus around
that has been composed in the round
catching their attention mostly
having no time to think about elders greatly
a flow of life that every human undergoes
now or later with a compelling heed in the course.

Thought Of Children

The thought of children

bring to mind their innocence

the love they show in expression

taking us to a delightful relevance

when we turn young and youthful

going back to the days of childhood

where everything was wonderful

reminding us of the days that could

spice and spruce the remaining days

adding charm and thrill to a degree

refreshing the mind in a large way

diffusing the cobwebs in a spree

exalting the spirit with a sustained stay.

Good Tidings.

The lovely voices from far away

calling at the same time in all gay

one from the northern hemisphere

another from the southern sphere

crying in joy and wishing great tidings

their voice being ebullient and enthusiastic

what a throw it had with vibrant feelings

hearing them talk I became ecstatic

How well does the children’s talk rejuvenate?

The day would pass with the same reverberation

that is how I pass my days with an injected celebration

Parental Enthusiasm

The parental enthusiasm has no limit

inducing the child to get beyond the summit

putting him to an unwanted strain

leaving him in a most difficult pain.

Acceding to their compulsion

unable to vent out his repulsion

he moves about in a dilemma

having to put up with a trauma .

His childhood is dreadful

not able to take decision rightful

depending on his parent’s wish

his days go off in a fizz.

Considerate parents take their wards far

the less cordial bring about a char

while most children climb over

the rest are pushed down ever.

Giving a liberty to a level right

allowing them to grow up straight

with an eye of distant care

would generate a success fair.

The Good Old World.

The father was away from home
The mother being at home
bothered about the money
and the interest it would fetch.
Supervising the kitchen
bossing over the servants
She admitted her children in school
with the full belief that it would
churn intellectuals on the go
but her children became nuts
behaving quixotically and looking funny.
The father came and was pained to see them
so he sent his children to hostels
hoping to get good results
Again, there happened the same course
with the children making nothing out of it
That which is seen in early years
stood through all the years
with the father and mother gone
the children behave as frivolous as ever
doing nothing essential but everything invalid
all of them have crossed the sixties
Yes, the world is so large and kind
holding such people in its loving fold.

The Separation

Man leaving his wife
and wife leaving her husband
has been in vogue
right through the years.
The mutual separation goes
without much hitch without children
It gets complicated with children.
Questions rise up and stay unfinished
while the children themselves
become a big question.

The children grow under one’s care
Their life goes on smooth in a rare
till the entry of a new partner
This leads to a distinctive urge
A track outside the normal surges.
Adjusting and accommodating to the new life
becomes the key words of the children’s lives.
The Man starts his new life anew
and the wife enters an alliance in a renew.

Fathered by one and tended by another
the child grows up in mother’s care.
Born from a woman and brought up by another
the child builds up as a father’s heir.
The togetherness gets diluted
and the intimacy gets faded.
The child loses its roots blatantly
and till he grows up incidentally
he stands bewildered filled with awe .
This feeling lasts till his life
with an indelible stamp
