Looking Daggers


Daggers are weapons sharp,

Eyes are organs incisive,

Daggers bring fear and night mare,

Stains of blood are smeared everywhere,

Eyes emit evil and conceit,

Remnants of hate are found everywhere.

 

The physical assault is horrendous,

As a stab slits open the physique,

Inflicting a damage deadly  to the body,

The mental attack is torturous,

As a  look tears apart the psychic,

Paralysing the mind to a desolation.

 

She looks daggers goes the simile,

Looks are more penetrating than a sting,

They kill the spirit of life  on the whole,

Decimating the liveliness from the soul,

It is definitely worse than a brutal murder,

As it impoverishes the  mind of its glory.

 

The piercing dagger and the evil looks,

Kill the life and spirit in a momentum,

 As stabbing  fiercely takes the life out,

Looking deceitfully throws the mind asunder,

There fore  life holds no value basically,

Lo!the spirit lies dead unceremoniously.

From Physical Setback to Mental Occlude


It was a hard stare,

Seemed the eyes would fall off,

It was a wide gape,

Seemed  the throat would  jump off,

It was a violent  sneeze,

Seemed as if the nose would rip off,

It was a rapid panting,

Seemed  the breath would ebb off,

It was a severe palpitation,

Seemed the heart would pop off,

It was a terrible seizure,

Seemed  the body would tear off,

It was a heavy swirling,

Seemed the mind would slip off,

It was a physical turmoil,

Wherein the mental got turned off.

Man Makes Them All.


The air around gets  choked,

The voice of most becomes hoarse,

Many cough violently.

A metallic sound emanates –boo,boo.

Fumes rise up from far,

The eyes turn  blood-red,

Tears flow down in  a dizzy.

A sobbing sound gets in         – hiss,hiss,

Vehicles produce carbon  emissions,

Choking man and nature together,

Implicating a catastrophe deliberately.

A chaotic commotion wakes up    – ugh , ugh

Cigar smoking  emit carcinogenic  tobacco

The lungs become weak,

Short of breath triggers fatality.

A silence  is remarkably felt.


Who makes all these?

The powerful  man makes them all,

To aid him  in his ventures plausibly,

A voiceless, cheerless , breathless, dead man emerges.

The Other Side


Beyond the walls lies the other side

Mostly  the pastures are green on the other side,

The numerical coins have two sides,

They do expose a head and a tail,

Man has a single face,

 But he shows different countenance,

 He smiles at one,

Scorns the  other,

 He looks  up with admiration across,

Also turns away  with contempt all over,

 His eyes  reveal kindness,

They emit evil too,

 His face reflects the mind,

It also refracts the heart,

His  heart sings,

It also cries,

His  mind discerns,

It also swings,

The other side is gorgeous  more so

When it depicts a liking,

It is disastrous most often

When it creates a dislike,

The other side in most  attributes is constant,

 Lo! the other side in man is variant.

So goes the Poet’s thought,

Exploring the  thresholds of the human.

An Ode To Tears.


Tiny drops run down the cheeks   with a pack of emotions

The fall from the eyes  links itself to a strange devotion,

The watery flow  is accompanied by a sobbing cry,

The juvenile drops   also  smother  a  happy  ply,

Recording   both sides of life in a micro droplet.


Eyes react to  happenings  fast and first  in a  strain,

Redness sets, in  them, primarily exposing an anguished  pain  

The lids flutter emitting an indignation  plain,

The  brows twitch and twinge revealing a  distress main,

Registering a salty track  of the minute  droplets.


 Eyes light up to the marvels and cheers of experiences lovingly

Pleasure reflects  through  them  exhibiting a happiness  likely,

The eyelids  elaborately widen promising an enhancement  really,

The eyebrows rise up affirming a contagious bliss heavenly,

Demonstrating a study of  joy through the soft  dewy  droplets.


Scientifically tears   are a liquid product  called lacrima,

Engaged in the process of cleaning and lubricating the  cornea,

Irritants  in the environment  induce an oedema,

The sensitive organ is susceptible to infectious trauma,

Resulting in a conjunctivitis   producing sticky  droplets.


Triggers and tremors  bring about a sadness  in entirety

Pains and setbacks  touch the  strings  of grief in  totality,

 Death and estrangement  strike a blow  in all  eventuality

Shedding tears is a beneficial course of pouring out   in difficulty,

Releasing  the cork of bottled sorrow in  atom like droplets.

Fascinating Eyes.


My little Meenu was singing the famous rhyme ,

Chubby cheeks,

Dimple chin ,

Rosy lips,

curly hair.

eyes are blue ,

I love you true.

While I was enjoying the rhyme sweetly rendered .

I was struck by a revelation.

Why  we give so much importance to the eyes?

I tell you truly,

Eyes  reflect many a characteristics of man.

There are different kinds of eyes,

Protruding, deep sunk,floating, fish like,are  some special variants.

The much common name in India Meenakshi denotes fish like eyes.

Meen is fish.

The Mongolian race has very small eyes,only a curve .

The colour of the eyes  are a pointer to the different races.

Blue, golden ,brown and black  tell us  whether one is an European ,Asian,African,.

Apart from this physical distinctions ,the eyes give us a detailed analysis of a man’s nature.

A twinkle in the eyes reflects happiness.

A droop in the eyes marks melancholy. 

A sprightly look depicts liveliness

A curious sight proclaims intelligence.

A vague demenaour insists dullness.

A soft look pronounces kindness.

An impish swing locates mischief.

A harsh cast revolves round anger.

An evil stare predicts wickedness.

A grave throw forecasts soberity.

Eyes display life .

Eyes are the most vital and the most active component of the human anatomy.
