A Harangue

The speech was fiery ,

The speaker was flamboyant ,

The audience was spell bound.

The address was focused,

As it spelt a lot about deterioration,

There was an uneasy apprehension.

The  ideas were ideal,

Aiming to enhance,

Giving a space to appreciate.

The programmes were accurate,

Tending to develop,

Proposing a march ahead.

The benefits derived  are many,

Giving out promises,

Calling for an approval.

The harangue was impressive,

 As it resounded  a glory,

Eliciting a victory.

It contained  words and assurances,

It had also content and issuance,

Implying an action leading to progress.

The Merchant Of Venice.-Modern.

Apologies to the bard on the outset,

Merchants did live in his times,

Portia   won laurels and encomiums,

Her name has stood the tests.

Banks have taken the  financiers’ garb,

They  are no more institutions,

They  exhibit no compassion,

 As they essentially  rob.

Shylock demanded a pound of flesh,

Banks extract ounces of blood,

Forcing the borrowers to shred,

 By pressurizing them under stress.

Interest keep the bank working,

While nominal index is the requirement,

High rates  reign the disbursement,

That renders  the taker to a cruel dealing.

Securities are for guarantee,

Never for undue extractions,

The institutions resort to  distractions,

As they proceed to encash on  warranty.

Half the life goes out fighting,

The officials go in and out,

In the course of  default,

Plunging the borrower to a  circumventing.

Greed of Shylock was  a theme,

Eulogized by Shakespeare,

Avarice of the bank causes despair,

As sung by his fraternity with a less gleam.

Oh A Bust!

Heard of so many busts,

Which make us lose trust,

The governance and schemes,

Allow us to dream,

Of fruits and gifts,

That make us wait in shifts,

Alas! the things  all of a sudden go bust,

Leaving us to  bite the dust.

The Dust

A sudden storm blew  violently,

As the dust swept forcefully,

Leaving an incredible haze ,

Smudging the eyes in a daze,

Creating a  typical dryness

Inducing a  painful soreness,

Casting an apprehensive   diaspora.

A sudden onslaught of thoughts,

Decimated the mind to naught,

Making it to slump into commotion

Rendering it  to a   dereliction,

Instigating a miserable  sequence,

Involving a deplorable grievance,

Inflicting a destitute digression.

The Rust

Held with much contempt by all,

Rust is something despised by all,

Oh !it is rusty ,cry all,

They drop it in a fall.

The  brownish orange hue,

Has a beautiful clue,

The combination is a bright  true,

While the colour is appealing not only to few,

The bright orange contradicts the iron oxide rue.

Rust can be dangerous too,

As it causes  destruction too,

Buildings get apart  by rust smacking too,

Bolts and nuts  give way too,

Bringing down bridges and tracks too.

The chemical process is oxidation,

Which initiates a degradation,

Rendering a  precipitation

By endowing a dissolution,

Of  physical propositions.

The abstract phenomenon of the mind

Gets disturbed by  thoughts unkind,

The evil vicious clog the brain confined

Leaving a stain permanent in the assigned,

Casting a deceitful spell in the blind.

Dispassionate Delivery

Keep  the feelings aside,

Allow equanimity to be beside,

Deliver the message to the side,

Without any hide.

Going into  the  deep ,

Getting involved into the sweep,

Gathering moss from beneath,

Gives a scope below the underneath.

Dispassion lacks emotions,

It dispels commotion,

As it lends a healthy notion,

To the  interactive motion.

A delivery with  no  constraint,

Yet with a disciplined restraint,

Foreshadows  any gross complaints,

Resulting in a novel acquaint.

Bereft of jargons and schemes,

Compressed with factual streams,

Though the presentation has no steam,

The result delivers a charming gleam.

Dispassionate  is an unfamiliar trend,

Not appreciated  at all ends,

The delivery extends,

A   formal and withdrawn blend.

It Should Pass

A day with lovely events has to pass,

As it gets dark,

The light sinks,

Night  descends.

The day passes.

A year with turbulence will pass,

As it sees outbreaks,

Of riots and diseases,

Political feuds  and economic recession,

The year passes.

A generation of people would pass,.

After experiencing hardships,

In personal and career,

In finance and life,

The generation passes.

Everything which has life has to pass,

It is an evolution,

It is a regeneration,

It is wisdom,

To allow all things to pass.

A civilisation has passed,,

After encountering ups and downs,

Through invasion and attacks,

Through years and centuries,

The civilization passes.

Beyond Reason

There are many   facets  that confuse ,

There are many concepts that puzzle,

There are many directions that mislead,

There are many categories that kill,

Why so they do queries the mind?

Is it an evil mind that is at work?

Is it a diabolical device that wrecks?

Is it a greed that overwhelms?

Is it a jealousy that breaks?

Is it a vengeance that slaps?

Is it an   inability that overtakes?

Is it a defeat that cramps?

Is it an animosity that cripples?

Reasons are so many,

They have myriad faces,

The destruction implicated sucks,

The depression experienced is gruesome,

Yet those who establish such crafts,

Live happily in good cheer and joy.

Is it not beyond reason?
