Sweltering Heat


The heat is oppressive.It is burning, scorching and sweltering. The day ls like a burning ball of fire.The shine is blindening. It is a stretch of white dazzling light, that  makes seeing difficult, that renders the  vision  blurred The extensive elongation of  a strange phenomenon  of hot winds and unbearable hotness creates a distinctive unpleasantness and intolerable fatigue.

The months of April and May , usually are hot. But year after year, the weather is dominantly salubrious, getting warmer and warmer.The Mercury rises above 110 degree Fahrenheit.The land becomes  dull ,parched and dry. The total perception is that of an arid , withering hue. The vegetation is unanimously dust prone and present a pale complexion. The roads are dusty and extremely  ghastly. The people  are in an abnormal predicament of exhaustive fumigation and unsatiated  thirst.

They try to quench the longing for liquids , by consuming tender coconut water. The price of tender coconuts have zoomed high , proportionate to the temperature. They partake water melons, sip cane juice, fruit juices, and push in  a lot of plain water to beat the persipiration and dehydration.But , however much they drink , the outside temperature is so hot that they droop down tired and worn out.

It is not advisable to venture out. But , how long can one lock up at home? Each one has his own avocation. The hawker has to go about the lanes to sell his goods to earn his bread. The vendors have to take up the heat , to make a living. The labourer has to brave the high velocity of temperature to work up his livelihood. The office goer, though sitting in a plush air-con fitted cubicle, has to measure up the oppressiveness , to get his remuneration. The businessman has to set aside the burning warmth , to  look after his day to day affairs. A shortfall or break  will cause the ultimatum .

Hot or cold, dry or rainy, we have to move on. We do carry our daily chores , with a sigh , with a complain , with a mumble. Yet we go on  The world  waits for no limitation, no restraint , no eccentricity.

U.S. -Double Faced.


The fraility and the frigidity of  United States Of America , are well exposed in their stand towards Sri Lanka and Afghanistan,the most troubled centres in Asia.It holds a restraint and speaks out on moral grounds on the casualties of human lives. But tends an apology on the air strikes in Afghanistan , killing hundreds of innocent children, men and women.

Why this double standard?The Afghan government is well equipped , has well trained army ,and has an evasive knowledge of the internal crisis. It can well take care of itself , without the western interference.The Afghan President , Hamid Karzai, got the recognition without the western opprobrium.  

Obama should evolve an exit strategy from Afghanistan.Air strikes ,warfare and in fights are not the solution for the elimination of Taliban.Afghanistan, is a conglomerate of tribal. Negotiating , is the best principle  to wade off terrorism. The Taliban , are estranged from society, have taken a deviated digression from normalcy, have taken up cudgels against innocence, in their claim for supremacy. A patient approach, an attentive hearing, and a slight lenience will bring about the much awaited peace and goodwill.

U. S should hasten to pack its bags from Afghan and maintain a diplomatic ,ethical ,non interfering attitude .This will definitely improve the scenario and restore normalcy.

The State Bank Of India – Connived Transparency.


Transparency in bank transactions is an high valued ethic. Any deal, whatsoever , should be governed by prescribed norms. It should undergo a thorough scrutiny . It must have a framed disclosure.It should lead to no digressions,  contain no ill conceived schemes,  consist no antithetical disbursement,  hold no prejudice ,   endeavour no underhand dealings and carry no unsolicited interpretations.

Such a constitution is an  existential  curiosity. A news clipping came out with a statistical data, that Banks in New zealand score high in the tranparent  category. They are resounding in integrity, and successful in emulating affability. The ir score is 14.

India ranks the lowest , with the score of 2. My bank , the largest in Asia , The State Bank of India,will be conferred a big zero.The attaining of Zero is a confirmed prologue,as the real value  of the bank vanishes  when it comes to the argument of transparency.

Transparency is an effective tool in tackling financial exclusion.Full disclosure identifies ,who the banks are reaching, and who are excluded.It also throws light on how the savings and resources are being invested,It provides opportunity to understand market trends and refine products  and services to serve local markets.It enables to  compare the performance  in a verifiable way, so as to  reward top performers and penalise those who fall short. 

Transparency , obviously ,is the basis of greater openness,and shared information that can facilitate,working partnership between banks and alternative lenders.Disclosures ,should include declined applications,pattern of usage, account dormancy,and should have a consistent presentation.Rendition of truth, compilation of facts should take the prerogative in the transparent disclosures.  A small business should be allotted the same  treatment as that of a large one. size  should not take the upper hand. The requirement, the necessity, the prospect of repayment should have a controlling effect. But , State bank Of India , has its own principles , stuck all through the decades,. They have  never changed, never been  modified , never altered . State bank  puts to embarrassment the real,genuine entity, but  worships the treacherous , insincere leviathans..

Its serpentine attitude  is vicious. Its foxiness is scandalous. Its bearish impudence is preposterous. Its cattish conceit is ravenous. Its elephantine resemblance is incredulous.

The conniving bureaucracy prevailing in State Bank of India , impose a demeaning, derogatory,  discomfiture.

Wage Cut


The economy is re bouncing. Dow jumps. The soaring of share in dices is spectacular. The recession is slowly fading.  These sentiments send signals of happiness. There is a  spread of warmth and submissive look up.

The other side of the coin presents a grim, glum   efficacy. There is a predominant wage reduction in all segments ,and in all countries over the world. Wage cut does not impress a robust economy. When the going is good , there will not be any thought to scale down the pay. As  the administration envisages a shrink in its profit, it tightens its purse. Employees , do not shift jobs or retort against the down scaling ,for fear of not finding a suitable opportunity. This again  tells us about  the weak economy.

The slimmer pay packets bring wih them another baggage of woe. The mortgage  crisis falls heavily on the shoulders.Less pay indicates difficulty to pay  interest, which at  anyday will not go down.  Saving becomes a remote possibility ,as there is cut in wages.. Spending also loses its glamour , as there is no or less money in hand.. The chain of vicious sequences, right from wage cut, mortagage , saving , spending , illustrate the regiment we are in.  

The economy will be levelled before this year is out. This is the prevelant hope .But the thorn in the bush is the rising unemployment. Stabilising the economy is a welcome step indeed. But ,creating jobs , is most imminent , to resurrect  the dangling economy. If this not given acute attention, then there is all pssibility of the economy taking a reverse course.

Nations should direct their steps to stimulate the economy, by augmenting jobs, by diffusing stagnation and arresting deflation.

Peace On Earth.


A wish of peace   so lively,

A theme of  adorable progress,

Keeps the earth moving.

 

 

A  theory of frenzied action,

A deliberation of  frantic move,

An apprehension of  chaotic confrontation,

Keeps the earth inert.

 

 

 

A scene of  unjustifiable prediction,

A depiction of  irreversible  prejudice,

A presence of barbaric spectacle,

Keeps the earth  insolent.

 

 

 

A  symbol  of tumultuous  activity,

A significance of  frothing eruption,

A cauldron of  fumigating evolution,

Keeps the earth on  fire.

 

 

 

An expectation of grace,

An  experience of amity,

A  solace  of  compassion,

Will glorify the earth  with Peace.

A Straight Approach


The lack of sincerity is a new found quality of all mortals. A transparent approach has been  forgotten by all. A veiled , beguiled, infidel momentum is the  fresh deal that is gaining credibility and  popularity.

A fear of God, or a gentle reference to super powers kept the people’s fancy and feigned procedure under control. Of late, this apprehension has lost ground. Thus , law is taken with ease, legalities are handled with fun. The thought of restraining from the atrocities, and reforming against all odd has become an outdated principle.

The imminent is the most considered. An immediate action, without deliberation , without consideration , without justice , is followed. The result should be beneficial. The method need  not be approved .It is the result that keeps us going. So the  end should bring credit.This is the motto of modern society.

Years back , the procedure underwent a circumvention,was  pursued logically, was performed scrupulously and the final atonement was gregarious.  The resolution was a beautiful insignia, that the appreciation it brought with it was  profound and secure.

The haphazard movement of today, the impractical indulgence, and the excited uproar create a notorious proforma.  Utilising  the belongings of others, for the timely benefit, pledging others property for own debts, selling others valuables to clear the  loan,  has been in vogue for quiet some time . An exposition of perfidy and treachery will lead to grotesque consequences. If besieged by legitimate queries the performer proclaims to commit suicide, thus trying to waive the confronts from the arena. Suicide is an act of cowardice, but what can be expected from such a blasphemous imbecile?

Life is precious than property , confirms on of the philosophical minded. But to me truth is precious than all. A right advance, a straight approach , a respectful  attitude,  a sumptuous pride , are the essential factors that govern  an  individual.Give the honourable placement to such ideals. The assured reward is triumph.

Craziness


Susceptible  to art , falling head over heels to music, indulging in reading  unmindful of time ,unaware of the external, are the compeling  part of me . The engrossment , at times borders on craziness, a weakness , I feel , which pushes me to spend extravagantly .

Of late , I am trying to overcome this slipshod attitude ,which takes a predominance  during my  rare sojourns outside my town. The bit of shopping , I do , turns out to be a fiasco, as I forget the important and delve in accumulating the artifacts. The surge is uproarious  and tumultuous. However , much , I combat to put down this allurement , I miserably fail. My shopping spree ends with the purchase of hand crafted decor, furniture embedded with mother of pearl, hand worked  place mats, embroidered bedspreads and bamboo table mats.  On certain occasions , I even acquire beautiful jewellery. I give my own ideas, though   am poor in drawing , I make the designer work on my principle , I hand over the designaed style to my jeweller, who takes pains to bring out the ornament , to my fullest satifaction. She , takes pride , in associating with me, I know not for what, because I myself feel that I am a little different from the crowd. Term it what you may, an eccentric, or a an extraordinarily brilliant, or a crazy mortal.I , for one do not tag with the rest, right from my young days. I’m fiercely independent, sharply sensitive, obstinately determined, and possess a head stuffed with peculiar ideals. I struggle , all these  years , to get on with  my siblings, and  my in laws. I did not  succeedin my effort.,and assure you , I Will never , at any cost , or at any time. Mostly, I remain out of the crowd. I am  a mute spectator to their misbehaviour, to their greedy overtures, and deceitful contemplation. The apparent perception, may seem that I have lost , I have been defeated. as I am deprived of my largess thatis due to me. I am cheated of my rightful asset. I may have lost my voice but fortunately  I have not lost my pride. My individualistic inclinations  still hold me together.

The relishing precept of me , that is the craziness of buying novel , intricate designs and art pieces make my life a blessed folio, a charming accolade,and an engaging pastime.  This avocation breaks the monotony of an otherwise modest  livelihood.

A Chain Of Events.


 

Heavy schedule. simultaneous appointments, and whirlwind travel,marked the day. The weather was pretty hot. The travel was quite unpleasant, punctuated by  both humidity and rugged route. But except for these discomforts, it was delightful. day from dawn to dusk. Meeting people ,exchanging pleasantries,were  a soothing experience, quiet away from the daily chores of official duties. A break of such a kind gives an assuaging tempo  to the overworked mind and rejuvenates the tired body.

Well. the day began with a quick shower.Had a quick dress up and proceeded to the house warming function of a good friend.I was  among the early visitors. The rituals were on and the warm reception they gave made me  feel very important .I had an opportunity to meet many familiar and unknowns. I picked up  few good  accomplice. The host did not allow me  to move out of the venue ,till the most vital formality was over. We were given a  delicious breakfast.

As the time for the next function was  approaching, I took leave  and dashed to the marriage of a relative’s daughter.I  had to cover 110 kms, and we did in an hour and a half , much faster than we usually do. The marriage was in progress. we were meted out with a grand welcome and treated with a sumptuous lunch. We blessed the bridal pair.

Another surprising and unexpected event took place. We were lead to enquire the birth of a grandaughter in the next house. Incidentally , the child happened to be my  grandchild born in January . I was  doubly happy . The in laws of my son, more so  their entire clan were overwhelmingly gracious . It turned out to be a memorable moment.

So , as course of event , I had a sequential chain , first a house warming function, then a wedding, finally a birth of a child. It is an  unexpected successive progress, but a very related and  an enchanting day .
