The presentation was extremely a fine lead,

The thought was clad in a lovely weave,

There was a contented leave.

 

The ambience was refreshing,

The liveliness was heartening,

The stride was enlivening,

There was a sophistication.

 

The people around were refined,

Moved about in a trend defined,

It was a gathering well-behaved,

There was a smothering paved.

 

Everything was precise to the dot,

All things started with a prompt,

The whole thing was a relevant compile,

Everything worked up in style.

Anything happy is adorable,

Anything sad is  deplorable,

Anything legal is acceptable,

Anything unlawful is condemnable,

The Talk of Money


The talk of money makes me giggle,

Billions and millions and hundreds wriggle,

Like ants on the sandy ground trouble.

Going up and going down in a wobble

 

The talk of money makes me apprehensive,

The relevance to it is  effectively reflective,

The legitimacy of currency is abusive,

Creating an unpleasantness effusive.

 

The talk of money is all-pervasive,

Serving and seducing in a way contributive,

Striking the bonds in a sequence  effective,

Forcing a disenchantment repulsive.

 

The talk of money makes me plaintive,

The value of other skills become diminutive,

The love for money acquires a directive,

Shadowing other validities to a defective.

  The little one asked “What is old age?”

 It is  an age  which tries to free from all bondage,

An age, which gets distracted from all outage,

 An age, which communicates through a silent language.

 

 As the day closes into dusk 

 As peace leads to an exhilaration always,

Youth  enters the  old age with a grace,

Strings of grey hair are  seen in a trace.

It is a  very pleasant midday,

The sun plays hide and seek all day,

The wind modulates gently in a sway,

Making everyone gay.

 

Sitting in the patio a while,

Watching the scenery in  style,

Anecdotes pop up from the mind’s file,

Bringing about a lovely smile.

 

It was enchantingly peaceful,

Extending a relaxation bountiful,

It is needed to stimulate the system in full,

A siesta in the afternoon is delicious,

Medical professionals call it malicious,

It is not to the liking of the adventurous,

It kindles laziness people say in vociferous,

It is seen  clearly as health hazardous.

 

It may be so to most of us,

To me it is enchantingly rapturous,

A nap in the mid-day is fabulous,

Releasing a refreshment salubrious,

Enabling the system to work harmonious.

 

It has become a routine  obvious,

Missing it once becomes tedious,

The enchantment felt is infectious, 

Does it sound outrageous?

Does it look hilarious?
