The Way I was Brought UP

hanna-parents-5The way I was brought up

in grace and comfort all in ups

yet with a discipline untold

never was allowed to fold

learnt the lessons of life either wise

both hard and easy  in tries

a mother always firm and watchful

a father mostly busy but wonderful

in a surround genial and generous

guests hopped and flocked most times

food served with warmth all times

did nothing  of the household chores

yet observed them with a force

directions came from mom then and there

earned distinctions and prizes fair

excelled in music and dance all the more

never was allowed to come to the fore

a restriction on socializing was implemented

a freedom on activities special got supplemented

with in-house tutors and books to assist

read with interest not once desisted

altogether was fondled and shaped with  caution

Did I rise up to  my mom’s expectation?

She  goaded me to do more and more

and wanted me to  reach the galore.

That much I know of my mother’s wish

know not whether I  attained the status.

Age Picks up.

Met a lady a few months back
from an origin distant
naturalised with years
now in her ripe age
who had hitherto
been a practitioner
of local customs
as she had got married into
an unknown family of distinct culture
she in her active years was
a stickler to the conventions
as age is picking up
hasKerala woman by now gone back
to her native dress
comfortable in her attire
at home to speak her own language
looks as though she finds
a solace and ease all through
implies that whatever might be
the home is always sweet and close.

Back home

Going back home

after a day’s long roaroam

brought me peace

shadowing me from tease

sheltering me from  sun

ushering in a lot of fun

returning found I

great comfort  in no lie.

Thorn In Flesh

The thought of inconvenience

and the feel for convenience

runs deep in my heart

not causing trouble to others

not allowing to be troubled by others

might sound not pragmatic to mos

but that be put to test

would make me a stiff contender

perhaps would be the best defender

as I pursue the policy straight

never deviating to left or right

initiating a sensitiveness

that of great decisiveness

never being a thorn inimages (41) any one’s flesh

but be a flower tender all over the mesh

never trying to prick them insensibly

but attempting to comfort them sensibly

that be my way all throughout

that might echo a bash in and out.

The Seed of Rivalry.

The menace men do  to each other

is reflected in  the ill feeling they nurture

is found in the jealousy that mounts up

just for the sake of being good-looking

be a way that copes up well

then being an intelligent  person than the other

that being a reason which  manges well

next comes the feeling of living comfortably

that is the seed of all rivalry very well

followed by the execution and performance

that being got by innate trend  and practising conscienrivalry.tously

all these consignments both in part and in bulk

go about throwing in the air envy and ruthlessness

turning the person to become a wicked  and evil  human

summing up his value and strength in derogatory terms

making much of his fallacy and diabolical syndrome

Count And Spend.

Count and spend say the wise.
Spend little save lot say the aged.
One has to live in comfort feel I.
One has to see places think I.
One has to eat well feel I.
One has to buy the necessities feel I.
One cannot count while buying feel I.
One cannot thrive by counting feel I.
One has to spend with ease feel I.
The more you count the more you save
by buying and spending nothing in the wave.
Differing from the wise say I
spend what you want and try
without fear at the least one buy.

Rain Looms

The rain was pouring intermittently.

It was without force inevitably.

It ranged with a lag deliberately.

The roads looked clumsy  totally.

People stayed back compulsorily.

The resultant was  discomfort  absolutely.
